Ok, you have done the hard part, picking out the best DISign ;) Now you will need to get the transfer paper, tshirts and maybe more ink. If you are putting your DISign on white shirts you can use light transfer or dark transfer paper. If you use any other color you will want to use dark transfer paper. There is a really good thread here on how to do the dark paper transfers.

If you use the dark transfer paper you will just print regularly and the letters won't be backwards. Really, it isn't hard once you get started :thumbsup2

If you use the light paper you will need to flip the DISign. I work between 2 different programs. One is Photoshop Elements but the other is a cheap greeting card program. You may want to check to see if you have any programs that have something in it to reverse the design for iron on transfer (my greeting card program is American Greetings and it has such a function). If not then it might be cheaper to just go with the dark paper. You do not need to reverse the image for dark and in many opinions around here the transfer is just better quality (on the dark).

If you do go with the dark paper idea then someone around here will be able to help you to personalize it :)

Good for you for wanting to print your own shirts. I have made at least 21 plus sweatshirts for our August trip and if I can do them, anyone can:)Many of the designers have shared their talent with us and for us.. Don't doubt yourself..if you follow the directions, your shirts will turn out awesome:) When you print the transfers, if you plan on putting them on a white tee, then you will need to reverse the printing as the transfer, will be ironed on face down. You will find this under printing preferences. Mine is part way down and it says: mirror image:yes/no.If you are putting a transfer on a colored shirt, use a transfer for DARK colors. This transfer doesn't need image to be reversed. Please don't be afraid to ask for help, that is what we are here for..support, laughs, tears and un-beknowest to us, friendships are formed..we may never meet face to face, but we have this board to bind us together:) Good luck and enjoy
