Hi, everyone! This is my first official PTR and I am hoping it will be a good way for me to "hurry along" the next 25 days and not burst from excitement! (note- I did start a PTR for our last big trip but it got locked before I could update it- this won't happen again since I don't have that long to wait! Just had to add that in case anyone read my last one :goodvibes)

Ok, A little introduction to who will be a part of this trip...

Me (Stacey) & DH (Philip)- two 28 year olds who are really just two big kids. :yay:

We love all things Disney and would spend every waking minute at WDW if we could! We both had visited WDW a few times growing up and in college with friends and family, but our shared obsession with Disney began in October 2003 when we went for our 4 day/3 night (it was SOOO short- we knew so little then!) honeymoon. In the 5 1/2 years we have been married, we have gone to Disney World 5 times and Disneyland once. We live 17 hours away from Orlando (in TX), so it is quite a tribute to our obsession that we have gone so often.

We had an awesome 10 day trip last September during free dining to celebrate our 5 year anniversary (we somehow totally missed hurricane Ike as it left our town with out power for 13 days- 10 of which we were gone-couldn't have planned that better if we tried:rolleyes:) and we went ahead and did a bounce back for a two week free dining trip in September 2009.

We love MK at night!

I could hardly stand the thought of waiting a whole year to go back so my very sweet DH agreed to go back for the week of Thanksgiving and we lucked out with free dining again! It was another awesome trip and I always love seeing all the Christmas decorations.

So, after the Christmas season passed, I of course was back to excitedly planning and thinking about our upcoming September trip. At the end of February, after a few weeks of feeling "not quite myself" I had a surprise that will change all future Disney trips- I discovered I was about 4 weeks pregnant! We had not been planning this, but we have always wanted kids so I was very excited and of course a bit shocked. Now it was time to figure out a way to share the news with DH. I could hardly hold it in long enough to make any big "reveal" so I settled on running over to Target and buying two bibs- one in pink and one in blue that said "I love Daddy." I wrapped them up and told him I had picked him up a gift since he was having a bad day (which he was). After he opened them, he just quickly looked up at me, then back down, then at me again and just stared at me with a look of total shock. I said, "Say something!" and he jumped up and hugged me and told me how happy he was. So, YAY! We are going to be parents!!!:lovestruc I guess this is our baby's very first trip- I hope he/she loves it as much as we do!

Well, after sharing the news with all of our ecstatic family and close friends (this is the first grandchild for both our parents), I did what any one who loves Disney would do- reschedule our upcoming trip (prioritites, right?!:rotfl::rotfl:) With a Halloween due date, I was pretty sure I did not want to go to Disney 8 months pregnant in the September heat so I told DH, we need to move our trip to some time much sooner. We decided on just a 6 day trip in early May. Only 6 days this time to save money and May because of the reported lower crowds, better weather, and I would be in my second trimester (I have been very sick so far). We made the changes and began making ADRs right away. This was all about a month ago and I was so excited with only two months to wait after thinking I had 8 months to wait! :woohoo:

I know this will be a very different trip for us, but there are only a few attractions in each park that I won't be able to ride. I love all the thrill rides so I am a little bummed, but its not a big deal in the grand scheme of things. DH can use the single rider lines and I am going to buy a Hidden Mickey guide to use while I am waiting on him. I have actually been thinking of taking black and white pics of hidden mickeys as a way to decorate the nursery. I wish we knew what we were having before we go but I will only be 14 weeks when we leave so we'll have to wait about 6 weeks more to know.

Me just last week after our first ultrasound:

Well, I will come back later with details of where we are staying and eating, etc. Oh, but before I forget, in totally Stacey & Philip fashion, what begins as an "x amount of days" trip never stays that way and our 6 day trip has slowly grown to an 11 day trip! We figure, it our last trip for a long time without kids, so we are going for as long as we possibly can!

Thanks for reading! :)

Well I got to say this trip looks like a lot of fun! Good thing I'll be there the same exact time as you, oh wait we are going together! I'm the Husband! Yeah for baby and yeah for Disney!

Congratulations!
I cannot wait for when you go to Disney and am excited to read your TR!

Congrats on your pregnancy! We'll be there in May as well :) Looking forward to your report! Kids are the BEST companions at WDW :lovestruc

Congratulations on the baby, the hidden mickey idea is wonderful, my little boy's nursery has framed photos of characters, mainly from paris but he is a proper disney baby now, i am hoping to fetch him to WDW in the next year or so, just a case of convincing DH to let us, he thinks Jake will still be too young for such a long flight, we live in the uk.

Have a wonderful last couple holiday.

awww how fun! Congrats, I'm excited for you and cannot wait to hear more about your trip!!

Thanks! I am hoping to get more of my PTR done in the next day or so! Its funny how you think you have so much time before your trip and then suddenly, it is 21/2 weeks away! I better get all my plans together!

I am so happy and excited for you! :yay: Can't wait to hear more!

Thanks so much! :goodvibes

Wow! Thanks everyone for your congrats! I LOVE to read others' trip reports but I am always a little surprised when anyone wants to read something I posted! I guess we always think everyone else is more entertaining then ourselves! :goodvibes

I do want to post some more fun details soon but I am still having all the lovely symptoms of first trimester pregnancy complete with headaches, nausea and... to put it nicely- what happens when you get just nauseous enough! I would call it morning sickness but I am lucky enough to have it hit at anytime. So, here is a little update on planning since I am not feeling so hot right now (DH convinced me to get on here and post because he is afraid readers will lose interest if I wait too long between posts!).

I am so excited because we leave 3 weeks from yesterday! We are flying out on a super early 6:30 AM flight at the airport on the other side of town. We have two here and one is 10 minutes away but we had to take the best deal- 50 minutes away. So, we will be leaving the house at 4:30 AM :scared1: . Now, to a girl who has been struggling with morning sickness for 6 weeks this is frightening and if it were for anything else other than Disney World I would probably say NO WAY! But I will be pulling out all my "don't get sick" tricks I have been learning over the last 2 months (such as eat before getting out of bed, chew gum constantly, etc... isn't pregnancy fun?!?!) and I am hoping my adrenaline will kick in! We are scheduled to arrive at MCO at 9:30 AM Florida time. We will be excitedly looking for those fun Mickey hands that lead us to Magical Express and then it is off to Pop Century! :woohoo:

We love Pop Century and this will be our third time to stay there. On our other trips we have stayed at ASM, Bonnet Creek (Beautiful place! The downside was no EMH, the upside was that a friend let us stay there 7 nights for free!!!) and CBR. We have both settled on wanting to stay longer at a Value rather than shorter at a Mod or Deluxe, but boy would we would love to stay at the Poly someday! :cloud9:

And a little Poly wishful thinking... :goodvibes

So, that is the beginning plans for our trip! I said it would be a quick update, but I guess just like I am when it comes to talking, I can never say just a little.:rolleyes1 I have been thinking about trying to find a small blankey or something and somehow write "My very first trip to Disney" on it. Then I thought we could take it to some of our favorite places in the parks and I could hold it over my tummy when we take some pictures. Just an idea and a way to include the baby in our trip- even though he/she is as about as included as they can get!

I will post again soon! Thanks again for reading! Hope you all have a great week!

YAY I'm so glad you started this!!!

You two are so stinking adorable and I can't wait till you have your baby bump! You are going to be so cute.

You're going to love may. What are your dates again? Are you there when we are there????

Thanks! I have already had to rethink my Disney wardrobe because some of my shorts are getting tight! I am so excited for our trip- now just about two weeks away! We are going to be there May 4-14. I think that overlaps with you all, right?

We are going to be there May 4th - 14th! We are very excited. I believe it's the same time you guys are there!

Congratulations on the baby!! Disney will never be the same, it will be even better....if you can believe that!! We'll be at Disney from 5/7-5/17, so we'll see you there!!

Can't wait to read more about your plans!

Hello, I'm definitely subscribing! We are headed to Disney May 2nd-6th for our last Disney trip as Floridians (we're moving to the DC area at the end of May), and I am also pregnant. I'm really interested in hearing (and maybe stealing ;) ) some of your ideas about how to involve the baby in this trip! I'm really sorry to hear that you have been so sick! I've been really lucky and have mostly been OK. I hear that things really start getting better around week 13, so hopefully morning (afternoon, and evening) sickness will be behind you when you get to Disney. I can totally sympathize with you being bummed about no thrill rides. I was just down there a few weeks ago for a day trip and I was really sad not to be able to ride space mountain. I have it all figured out with DH for our upcoming trip, though. I'm an avid pin trader, so I just bought lots of trader pins, and while he is riding the "big kid" rides, baby and I will be trading up a storm. I hope all your last minute planning goes well and I'm exciting to hear about your trip!
