We told our DS's 4 and 6 last night we are going to WDW in 20 days (their first trip), they were bouncing off the walls. My 6 yo couldn't talk he was giggling so much with excitement, he said is this for real I hope it's not a joke. It was so great to see the excitement they had, now I can't wait to get there and they will really go crazy. So the boys and I are so excited to go now if we could get DH excited about going all he thinks about is the $$$ part of it. We are staying at the Pop. :cool1: WDW in 19 days here we come!! :cool1:

I'm in the same boat! My sons are 4 and 7. They don't know we are going to WDW yet. In fact they just found out we were taking a vacation to visit relatives!

It's good to hear how excited your boys were. I was beginning to fear that I would be more excited than they would be.

Enjoy your trip!!

We have 31 days to go. My kids 6 & 8 are really excited. You should make paper chains. It really helps my kids picture how quick it is coming. There are fun Disney ones you can print on www.themouseforless.com.

Have fun!!!!

Disney magic is alive and well :lovestruc !! We decided last week to book a trip that included my DD's boyfriend (age 16 and never been to WDW). We were going to tell him on his BD 5/23, but we couldn't wait that long!! Both these kids (despite some tough ground rules) are bouncing off the walls. DD told me this AM on the way to school that she doesn't know how shes going to get through the next 4 weeks.

For my godson's first trip (at age 8) I bought him the Birnbaum's Kids book for WDW. He and his brothers (13 and 6) were told a few monts before the trip. This helped pass the time. The entire family read this book and talked about the trip. It was great family bonding time. (Plus got these gameboy playstation x-box kids to read something!) :rotfl2:

That book is a great idea thanks. My DS 6 is justing learning to read so that may be a good to get him reading more. I don't believe in game boys, i pods etc. at this age. I have coloring books, hot wheels, playdoh, sticker, all kinds of crafty type stuff for the plane ride and my 6yo will have work sheets from his teacher. And that book will be great.
