its been a little bit for me
Thanks Lisa. Where is Cleveland, Georgia? I enjoy cake decorating. I am showing my mom how to do a wedding cake on Thursday night. A friend of hers asked if I could help her out and Mom wants to learn how to construct one. It's a three tier white with small dots in a quilting pattern and a great big obnoxious bow on the top. The dots and bow are orange. Should be interesting.![]()
Thanks so much! I'm glad I'm not the only one that found Les Chefs less than stellar. The segway tour was fun and we will probably do it again when the girls are a bit bigger. The Segway tour sounds great! My family would love to do that someday!
Sorry your lunch with Remy wasn't better. I would agree that based on our experience Remy is the best thing about the place.
The pictures from the AKL are great
As for the cake....it is adorable!!!
We did have a great trip in May. I'm really looking forward to the trip we have coming up in about one month.Great update! I've always wondered about Chefs and I think we will be skipping it this trip! We are definitely going to WCC though!
Emily likes seeing the pictures of her new friends Lindsey & Josie! They are so cute!
I would love to do the Segway tour at WL or Epcot someday. I think I'll have to wait until the girls are both old enough for the kids club.
The Sesame Street cake is AMAZING!! I think it is one of my favorites that you have posted! Great job, you are so talented!
Stephanie and I are booked for next fall, now we just need to work on Nickie! She said if she goes back to work, she'll be there so I'm keeping my fingers crossed!
Anyway, you guys had a fantastic trip, thank for sharing with us!![]()
Thanks Mary!!Fun update. the segway tour looked really cun! Sorry the food at Le Chefs was nasty. Yay for fun Dis Meets!! Love the last AKV pics!!
The soup was good but that burger was just nasty. It was a huge pile of mush. I hope your next experience is better than ours. I'm sure it will besorry for the poor experience at Les ChefsI ate there with my brother for dinner in March and it's now one of our favorite meals. I thought the soup was one the best I've had. I had the short ribs and the pastry puff things for dessert which was all great!!
I'm taking my friends there in Oct for lunch and we're going there in Dec for CLP so I hope that the experience is still great!!
The Segway tour is always fun! I loved doing mine a few years ago!!
Thanks Julia!First off, that cake is AWESOME! Want to come to Knoxville and teach me how to work with fondant?
Okay, back to Disney-talk.
Glad you guys enjoyed the Segway tour! I think it looks like a lot of fun. I'll add it to the list of things to do when we take our adults-only trip.
Sorry to hear that Les Chefs didn't impress. I agree that bad service and bad food would definitely not warrant a return visit.
The DISmeet sounds like such fun!
Glad that you guys had a great experience at WCC!
Great AKL pics! So sad that this was your last night.![]()
Thank you!! The soup was good but not work a dining credit in my opinion. It's tough on little one's to stay still through a two hour meal so I would definitely cancel if your children are squirmy like mine.Great update!
And how cute is that stinkin' cake?!?!? Wow! Great job!
Thanks for the review of Chefs. We had it booked in May and decided that day to cancel it and just order pizza. We have it booked again in September, but right now, it looks like we will probably cancel it, too.
I want to try the french onion soup, but that's about it. I'd say that maybe we would go for a quick lunch, but if it took you 30 minutes just to get your drinks, I think we'll pass.
I'm loving playing again and you should check it out. Right now we are playing outdoor on sand courts but in six weeks we move to indoor. I like the sand, doesn't hurt as bad when I have to dive..Yay, an update! First off, that is so awesome you are playing/coaching volleyball. I really should try to find a league like that around here. I miss playing so much.
Now onto the update...yay for a DIS meet! Sounds like there was a pretty good turnout. And that picture of the girls with Marie is so cute.
Glad you had such a good experience at WCC! It is a fun restaurant and the food is great.![]()
Thanks!its been a little bit for me
Thanks Kylie! We are so glad that we didn't skip out on WCC. It was definitely a highlight for that day.Great update! Sorry Chef's wasn't great-- one of the few bad reviews I've heard!
That skillet looks sooo yummy-- bet you're glad you didn't skip out on WCC!
The Sesame Street cake is absolutely adorable! The characters look perfect.
Thanks on the cake. Remy was super cute and his birthday song to Joe was probably one of the cutest things I've seen at Disney. It wasn't a complete loss.Sorry to hear you guys had such a bad experience at Chefs, but luckily you were at least able to see Remy.
That cake is amazing..you are so talented!
Hi Queen! I've missed you too!Hello my friend, I've missed you
That segway tour sounds like a lot of fun! I didn't love the Grand Marnier slushie either so I quickly downed it and grabbed a Grey Goose Slushie
That's too bad about your meal at Les Chef du France....Remy is cute though isn't he?
You are so close to your trip Stephanie! I can't wait to hear all about it!! I really hope it works out for next fall too. Me, you, Wendy, Mary, and Nickie will have such a good time and our kids will have a ball for sure!Hey Leanne!
I sure hope to do the Segway Tour sometime. It sounds like a lot of fun and interesting! Marie!! we hope to meet Marie too. WCC looks yummy!
The cake is specular!!

I am so hoping it works for us next Fall!! I would LOVEto see you all again, along with meeting new DIS friends!
Wendy and I decided it is going to be a surprise for our girls.
Lilian informed me last week that Ms. Wendy and Emily needed to come on THIS trip with us.
I totally hear ya girl! I'm so far behind I don't know if I'll ever get caught up. I'm going to try this coming weekend. It's dove season and a holiday weekend so I should have some quiet time to do some reading while Joe is out and the girls are playing.Hey Leanne! I need to do some serious catching up. I finally have things calmed down, so her I am. I have plenty of reading to do this weekend. Lucky for me, Bryan will be busy all weekend.
Thanks Dana!WOW, girl you have been VERY busy. I don't know how in the world you have time to even think about the Dis, much less keep up with it.
I love the pictures of you and Joe on the Segways. I enjoyed our Dis meet; brief as it was. Dale and Dallas had flown the coop on my by that point......
.
The Sesame Street cake is AMAZING. The details are just awesome. I can tell a lot of hard work went into that cake.
Wow very impressive!!! Welcome to my report!Just read your whole trip report in one sitting! That's not a problem is it!?!
Sorry about your bad experience at Chefs. We went last year for dinner and it was one of the best meals of our trip!
Looking forward to the last installment!
Kelly
Hi Sara! Thanks on the cake. I was worried about falling on the segway too but I figured it out. They tell you up front that if you become uncomfortable to let them know and they will work it out. I guess that relaxed me a little.Leanne, that cake is gorgeous!! What a talent you have.
The segway tour looks like it was fun. Shawn did it on our Oct 2008 trip with my step-dad (I thought I would end up flat on my face in the middle of the WS, so I opted out), and they thought it was great!
That's too bad about Chefs. We ate there for dinner in February and it was just "ok" but I had lunch there in May with my Mom and it was fabulous!! Guess you just never know, right?
It looks like dinner at WCC was a lot of fun! Love those AKL pics!
Sara
That would make it a 6 hour drive from me.....hmmmmm. Mom ended up having me talk her through it over the phone. I guess when she found out her friend wasn't going to pay her for the supplies or any part of the cake she decided that it didn't make sense for me to drive an hour and half to help her. She said it turned out great though.Cleveland, Georgia is about 90 miles from Atlanta. It's about 3 hours from Knoxville and 3 1/2 hours from Pigeon Forge.
Please post a pic of the picture once your Mom gets through. I'd love to see how it turns out.
Hiya and welcome to my TR!Im about halfway through your trip report and I love it. Your girls are BEUTIFUL!!! I love the BB pics. We are going this month and doing BBB for the first time. Im so glad we reserved the castle package now after looking at your pics.
Since Im at work I do have to go do work, but hopefully I can come back this afternoon and finish reading!!
