Now I'm glad I decided not to renew my DC, my store closed!

I am so very sad! Today was the last day and I just happened to stop in. I went in about every two weeks and was friendly with the staff. They are all so upset, they were only given a little over a weeks notice that the store was closing. There was hardly anything left in the store as it had been at 50% off the entire store for the last week and everything was scooped up.

It was my "disney fix" when I needed one. The closest stores are now in Seattle and Honolulu, and while I love Disney, I am not paying $300 RT airfare just to visit the store....

Sooooo sad! But I am reallly glad I didn't renew my DC membership as we are not going to WDW this year, just DL and it is not worth it for that alone. Mine saved the most for me at the store (which just goes to show how much I was in there).

I know some folks had a hard time finding things they liked there, but with 4 small children all Disney fanatics, we were there alot.

I know what you mean about getting a Disney at the store. Every time we walk in we get flashes of past trips. Hopefully you can get a partial fix from visiting here on the DIS and by visiting the Disney Store online.

That is terrible...So sorry for you...I don't live anywhere near a Disney Store and I think the closest one to me is over 3 hours away!
