My DNephew was just cast as an alternate in F!. Congrats DNephew!

But now we have to plan on watching F! this summer. :lmao: I am not one for waiting hours to watch F! and I've never saved my place with a blanket. (doesn't seem right somehow). I hope he'll know early enough that he's performing so that he can let us all know. We have been there for each of his premiere performances and don't want to miss his first F!

We'll be there on 3/19 to see him in the Electrical Parade.

We definitely need to upgrade our AP to Deluxe so we can see him perform.:)

I just wanted to post because I am so proud of him! ;) He was raised going to DLR a lot and always wanted to work there. He loves it and now he is planning a trip in a few months to WDW (we took him when he was 8) with some friends. So of course, he has asked me questions about where to stay, renting a car, etc. I AM the WDW expert in the family, after all!

Hey Dizneydaz! How exciting!! I totally vote for the monkey! That is my fav part of Fantasmic! I love the music they dance to! Tell him good luck! How memorable to be part of all those shows! Lucky Duck!

How are you?! Hope you and your family are doing well! I never said a proper thanks for Oct!! I lost your email and havent been on here for an eternity. Im so sorry! Thanks so much again for everything!!! Karalee!

Most people do multiple roles. The people doing the
monkeys are all pirates and then a character on the
riverboat for the finale. So the chances are he'll be
doing all three, not just one of them.

He's gonna have a BLAST!

Congratulations to your DNephew! :)

If you are able to stay at the parks until 11 PM, it's usually not too hard to get good to excellent seats to the second showing of Fantasmic!. You just have to be in the area at the end of the first show, hanging out in the background, like by the Haunted Mansion. (You can totally see Murphy the dragon from there, too, and a bit of the finale. :) ) Then you sneak up closer to the flat "seating" area as the fireworks start, and then when they're over, the crowds will lift and you should be able to get a seat at or near the railing, front and center. Total wait time (including fireworks), a little over 1 hour.

If you can settle for just OK seats you can probably show up somewhat later to the second show, depending on the season. The parks were very quiet when we went in December and when we saw Fantasmic! on Wednesday night, I think we could've actually shown up 15 minutes before showtime and gotten seats in the seated section.

If World of Color, is going on at the same time, then Fantasmic may not be quite as crazy-busy.

Anyway, if you get there early and wait, may even be able to talk a bit to people waiting with you, saying your nephew is in the show. :) (If you're there when I am (likely early-to-mid June, definitely second show if offered), I'd love to talk. ;) )

You are so welcome! We are all doing well. Didn't get to go to DLR as much as we hoped in Jan. while DD10 was off track due to the weather and work but definitely plan on going alot in May since she'll be off track again and next school year her school is changing to traditional-no more Jan., May, or Sept. off for us. We'll have to go with the masses in summer and weekends.:scared1:

Thanks all for your comments. I editted my first post a little-I don't want to spoil the "magic" for anyone.

Eeee-va you never know when we'll be there. DD10 doesn't get out of school until end of June but we'll probably still go a few nights in June to see F! and the fireworks. I too am hoping that WOC will draw more people over to DCA at night. Keep an eye out for us, you never know (see my picture in siggie below-wearing one of the cool yellow robes!) I'm usually carrying my purple Baggalini.
