Wow,does this thread bring back some memories for me. I'll start with who first so it'll make sense.
1.Who.. My grandfather who actually worked as an excavator contractor moving all that dirt that was once a swamp and is now WDW. He actually took my family when I was 6 in 1971.
2.Where.. OKW because of the actual Florida feel.
3. Ride.. This goes way back and is no longer even existant.. The Skyway.. I know it probably isn't considered a ride but my grandfather loved riding high above MK and commenting on how he just couldn't believe how a swamp was tranformed into such a wonderful place. Thinking about it now it was his way of saying "Look what I helped build".
4. To eat.. Casey's Corner.. We would always have to have a hot dog, fries and a coke.

Since that is impossible back to reality.
1. OKW.. still our favorite
2. Pirates
3. Biergarten.. wifes fav
4. DW of course

I had forgotten about the Skyway. It was great!!! It's a shame that you can't "idiot-proof" things or this would still be in operation.

Argh....this is too difficult for me.
As much as I want to participate, I just can't narrow it down to one.
I decided THAT is why I bought DVC!
One resort is not enough.
One ride is not enough.
One restaurant is not enough.
One person IS enough - my DH, but it is fun to bring the kids, friends, and other family too!

I tried but just could not come up with just one resort, one ride, or one restaurant.

I am pretty sure that OKW didn't open till the 90's. Did you stay at the Poly?

No we actually stayed at my grandfathers in St. Augustine. I took the question as in "now". I would like to stay at OKW with him now if he was still alive and magically put the Skyway back in operation for him.

Back then our school system was on a year round schedule and it just so happened my group ended up getting from Thanksgiving to New Years for one of our breaks so I spent many a December in Fla with my grandparents. It was great everyone else was in school and WDW was virtually empty.
