November weather

We usually go from Toronto to WDW at the beginning of Nov and it's always surprising how such a short plane ride can bring such a big change in weather.

Temperatures are usually 28-35 degrees I'd say. Once or twice it did get to about 15-20, my wife brought out a sweater but I was fine in shorts and a t-shirt. Bring a pair of jeans and something to keep warm in case, but you won't use it much.

Thank you to everyone who replied!!! I will be sure to pack a few warmer things! I guess leggings and such for my girls are light enough. We will definitely be wearing a sweater on the plane, so will have it handy! This has been so helpful!

We did Nov 9-16, 2013 and loved the weather. We're booked for this year Nov 14-21. On the last trip, we saw rain 1 of the 8 days. We had a June trip in 2012 and saw only 1 day without rain Lol.
November was sunny and warm with low humidity. Warm enough for afternoon swimming. We had 1 day that was chilly and windy but we had hoodies and enjoyed the evening at epcot when everyone else was too cold and left. I'm planning to take 1 hoodie each and 1 or 2 pairs of long pants. If the forecast is calling for any really cold weather, I'll bring some underarmour long sleeve tees to layer under the sweatshirts.

We went mid Nov of last year and each of our 4 park days were different! One very nice day, the next day was a lot warmer, then rain all day, and the last day was freezing to us. Being from southeast Alabama we are use to heat and humidity though. We don't take the cold well :)

I usually go the week before Thanksgiving. It usually in the high 70's or low 80's midday. Last it was cold and rained everyday. I had my velour jacket that bought a few earlier that usually works. But not last year. I had that my throw and we hats gloves and scarfs and we still cold. I don't mine if its a cooler but when rains everyday its not good. Because you outside everyday.

I was there last year the week before thanksgiving and we started in shorts and 85 then the rest of the week was freezing....like had to buy gloves freezing. 30's in the morning and night and highs around 45-50 mid day. So definitely plan for both types.

You were there the same time as us! I recommend checking the forecast right before you go. I knew temps were forecasted in the 60s for a few days when we were there and thought we'd be find in hoodies, but never accounted for the lack of sun, colder mornings and nights, and outdoor rides like Everest and Mine Train that we were straight freezing on. We wore and re-wore our only pairs of jeans we brought and were layering hoodies because we didn't have enough warm clothes. Bring heavier things than you think you may need!

Even if the temperature is in the 80's during the day, it can drop 20 degrees or more in the evening. That can seem to be downright cold after walking around in the heat all day.
We once did a cruise out of Tampa in November. It was in the high 80's the day we arrived (a few days before the sail date). That night a cold front came in and temperatures were in the low 40's. That lasted all the way past the keys before we had warmer weather. I learned my lesson from that experience and pack for all kinds of weather when coming to Florida in late fall to early spring.
Even in summer, I bring a lightweight jacket and jeans as the evening and night can feel quite cool after walking around in the sun.

We were there the first week of Nov last year and the weather was great. Warm during the day and then cooler in the evenings. I wore capris and tees during the day and then took a sweatshirt in my backpack in the evenings.

We have gone a variety of times during the late November-early December timeframe and recommend to take a set of clothes for cool mornings, great day temperatures with cooling again in the evening. Evening swims can be a little on the cool side. Jeans at night sometimes, other times shorts. During some of our MVMCP experiences it rained and the night was cool enough to see your breath and we wore sweatshirts with shorts. Rain also tended to drive people from the parks too. Other times the MVMCP was great weather with t-shirt and shorts. The bottom line is bring a mix of clothing which could entail plans to ability to layer clothing to meet the needs of both temperature extremes.

I have been going in Nov for years and years (mid Nov) and we have been seriously spoiled with awesome weather each trip! Last year we were there 11/12-11/18 and it was gorgeous... High 70's to Low 80's during the day and a little cool at night but not that cool, a hoodie was what we wore during the evenings. I do know that after we left early on the 18th, it got really cold. So it can vary. It only rained 1 day our whole trip, on the 17th... it started later in the afternoon through the evening. We love going in November, for the weather alone! I always like to pack something for everything- shorts, tank tops, tshirts, capris, jeans, long sleeves, bermuda shorts and a hoodie.

This will be on 3rd trip during Thanksgiving. We are from New Hampshire. I have found bringing a little bit of everything and layering is key. When we arrived last year they had heaters set up outside the customs house at CBR. The temps can vary day to day. During the mornings and nights it can be chilly. We bring bring a hat, fleece jacket and gloves. I haven't worn shorts much mostly capris, tank and light sweater. I take the sweater off during the afternoon and put it back on at night. Some nights we needed the jacket too. We have used the pools and hot tub, the walk back to the room can be cold. For some reason 40's in Fla is much colder than 40's in New Hampshire.

We have been several times in November and unfortunately the weather can be quite variable so you will need a range of clothes (we are also Canadian). Last November one morning we headed out to Magic Kingdom with a temperature of 5C, only got to 14C that day.... was definitely chilly and we needed pants and jackets and sweaters. But then a few days later we were back at Magic Kingdom and it was 30C.... so be prepared for anything. We have 2 little ones and have been caught a few times not bringing enough warmer wear with us.

I've gone to WDW in early/mid Nov for many years & the temps can definitely swing throughout the day. Also Canadian so not terribly sensitive to the cold. If readers are from the southern US states, then be aware that it can definitely feel "cold" in the early a.m. and later p.m. so be sure to pack an extra hoody and at least 1 extra pr of long pants unless you really wish to buy the $$ park boutique clothing. :scared: If you really suffer in cooler temps, consider a fleecy jacket or a puffy vest as well. For Canadians & Northern U.S. residents, Nov offers ideal touring temps. Not too hot & humid. Sensitivity to temps is such a personal thing & often it is what we become used to at home. For Northerners: early mornings heading out to the bus for rope drop can still be a bit chilly so I pack at least 1 light weight older sweater that I can tie around my waist later in the day. I also make sure it is an old, cheap sweater so I can consider it disposable should I need that space in the suitcase for souvenirs. I wear 1 pr of jeans down on the plane and have a fleecy jacket so I have those should it become much cooler than expected. I also pack at least 2 pairs of capris (along with the shorts) that give a bit more coverage if chilly mornings/evenings but not so hot as jeans at midday. Because your family is limited by the checked bag fee, have you considered packing mostly old t-shirts, older undies & socks, etc so you can toss them at the end of the trip and free up your suitcases for souvenirs and purchases? I do this often. I believe its called the Hansel & Gretel approach to packing. Fewer worries about overweight bags for the return flight. No one really cares if you are dressed beautifully in the parks anyway. Generally, I have experienced little rain in Nov so that's a wonderful trade off for the cooler a.m. and p.m. temps. Enjoy your trip!

November is one of the highly variable times in the area where for a week it could be 85 degrees for the high, a cold front can move through one day, and then the next couple days it can be 60 degrees for the high. It really depends on the timing of cold fronts. I'd say pack for and expect highs during the day ranging from 60 to 85 and lows at night ranging from 45 to 65.
This is exactly what happened to my SIL last year! Their first two days were sunny and in the mid 80's, then the temps plummeted! It was only in the 40's for the bus stop in the mornings and right around 60 for the high the next couple of days, with drizzly rain. They needed layers with sweatshirts and gloves. Then their last two days it was in the middle, cloudy with highs around 70.

Hi everyone!!!

So we've been in May, August x2 and September. We have booked November (10-19) this year, so we can do the MVMCP. What kind of weather can we expect? Still shorts and summer clothing (we are canadian)? Will we need leggings, sweaters etc? We try to pack as light as possible since each bag is $50 to check, so we don't want to bring a bunch of stuff we don't need. So...fill me in please!!!

I was there last year from November 16-23rd. We had 3 days in the 80s and the rest of the week was cold and miserable. One day it did not make it out of the 40s. Many mornings the wind chill made it in the 30s. I know that's not common, but just be prepared. We had brought fleece jackets, long sleeves and jeans, but we could have used a full on winter coat, gloves, and hats a few of the days. Be ready for anything.
