November trip dilemmas!

Afternoon!

It's getting to that time again when I need to start thinking disney trip (as if I ever don't! :rotfl:)

I exchanged clubcard tokens in December ready for this years trip which we were going to book for November.

However, I'm not sure we're going to be able to go in November now. I was hoping for a better offer (I know, I should have booked on the 30%!) but the price currently for our dates is £703 for 4 nights at the Cheyenne. Considering we paid £434 and £457 for last years trips it's a considerable hike especially as we're going away abroad this year already.

My clubcard vouchers expire at the end of May so I need to decide what to do. I could refund the vouchers and get new ones when they go back on my clubcard vouchers but then we'll only get a 3x value instead of the 4x at the time I exchanged them, it's not a huge loss but it's a bit of a faff!

How far in advance can you book the eurotunnel? IS it like Eurostar when you call and can book 3 months earlier than online? Not that it would help much as we'll be going May half term next year instead but

Also, if we do go ahead with November I'm not confident about driving there at that time of year. The weather was terrible at the end of November last year, I remember many having to cancel their trips but I can't remember how late in November that started. We were planning on going from the 6th-11th this year.

If we book flights/eurostar its going to hike the price up by hundreds more.

I know I've probably answered my own questions whilst typing this but never mind! What would you all do??

Would you book the eurotunnel without disney booked when we're already on the spring/summer offer??

ARgh! I really wanted to go for the bonfire night/early Christmas celebrations but now I really don't know. help! :confused3

Sorry, I know absolutely nothing about clubcard vouchers or Eurotunnel ..... but I was wondering with you considering both a November trip and one the following May whether it might be more beneficial for you to buy annual passes and stay offsite?

I was going to suggest the same as Elaine.
I've booked Nov at the Dream Castle for me and Liam and I'm going to buy AP's using our shareholder's discount too.
For me to get a price anywhere near the cost of the DC plus AP's I need to have a 55% discount on DLP prices which isn't going to happen and that's at SF or Cheyenne.
I've only stayed offsite once before for 1 night at the Kyriad before moving onto Cheyenne, and weighing up costs, hotel benefits etc - Kyriad came out on top. Hoping that we love the DC as much as we did the New York, which is way beyond my price range but similar class hotel. :)

I booked the DC through Travel Republic, in case you want to have a look at prices and I have booked family hols with them before without any problems.

Thanks for your replies ladies!

I had considered staying off site but my husband wasn't keen as he liked being within walking distance from the parks. We stayed at the Magic Circus before when it was the Holiday Inn so he knows how lovely it was but wasn't convinced.

However, I've just been on the websites and showed him the 360' degree tours and he seems more keen now. Plus in theory we could get a May and another Haloween trip in next year really cheap especially as we could camp in the summer!

It'll be about £1100 instead of £800 but the hotels seem much nicer and thats for 5 nights instead of 4! we won't have to pay for it just a few weeks after we come back from our summer holiday and we'll be able to have cheaper trips next year. Think you've convinced me!!

Does e587 seem good for 5 nights at the Dream Castle? The Magic Circus is exactly the same price.

It isn't the prepaid rate but asks for credit card details to guarantee. I take it it doesn't take anything off your card when you book?

Does anyone have the link for the dream pass details as I can't find it anywhere but know there's a page on a different DLP site!

Is it quick and easy to buy annual passes when there??

Sorry for the barrage of new questions but want it all planned out before I book the eurotunnel :)

Thanks again!!

If you want to be walking distance to the parks, I stayed at the Adagio last week & it was only 20 mins walk to the Village & you would have all the shops & restaurants of Val d'Europe on your doorstep. There is also a free shuttle bus, if you don't fancy the walk. They have apartments which means you have more living space than a hotel room too.

Thanks Karen.

It took a push to get DH to agree to offsite as he'll have to use the shuttle buses. I mentioned this hotel and just got a look!

He's not really being lazy, our LOs are 4 and 2 and as we're going to get Dream passes we won't need to take a buggy as will get free rentals. Last time he had very sore shoulders from our 4 year old as her legs hurt, that was just round the park! :rotfl:

Thanks for the recommendation though. It's definitely a place we'd consider when the little ones are older (with stronger leg!!:) )
