Yes it is usually nightly. There can be a few things going out. The DL website has not been updated yet for the F! nightly performances and will be and you need to keep checking. Disneyland may not doing F! nightly. Maybe the F! nightly starts at Thanksgiving through the New Year. Or F! will be on a Friday-Sunday schedule through the week of Christmas and then go nightly. Also the opening of Tiana's Bayou Adventure maybe a factor -- crowding issues either with a Virtual Queue opening or standby. Stay tuned.

Why am I thinking it did when the holiday season kicked off?
The fireworks are nightly for the holiday period. There may have been one or two years where fantasmic was night but usually it doesn’t go nightly until the 2nd or 3rd week of December. It may be nightly the week of Thanksgiving but that’s usually it for November.
Exactly right, as I recall. We were only there on Friday last year (first week of December) so this year I made sure we stayed the whole weekend, even though my pass was blocked. Wanted to make sure we could see parade, fireworks and Fantasmic without being rushed.
Not surprising it will fill the gap until holiday fireworks start on 11/15.
