November Disney trip - MVMCP,my 2 year olds first holiday with lots of pictures

Well this time I will get my trip report done
i started it when we came back but never got too far

first of all the people who went on the trip

there's me 31 years old and disney mad crazy on winnie the pooh things mainly eeyore
my hubby 40 getting more and more into the disney thing like pixar stuff
my daughter abbie who was 2 in October. mad on mickey mouse

we set off for disney world on the 11th November at about 3am as we had a long drive to the airport. the idea was that my daughter would sleep all the way there in the car but that didn't really go to plan. she woke up when we put her in the car and only slept the last half an hour so we thought oh well maybe she will sleep on the plane. abbie however had other plans and even though she had been up since 3 am and we had walked round manchester airport for ages to wear her out she only actually slept for less than an hour on a 9 hour flight. she was pretty good though although pretty noisy. i recomend anyone who takes young kids on a 9 hour flight takes plenty of paracetomols with them as we needed them

we arrived at orlando airport about 2.30pm florida time which was about 7.30pm English time so were were rather tired by the time we got through customs. We got on a bus to go to out hotel which was the Pop Century Hotel

Pop century was an excellent hotel and i would definitly stay there again
abbie was so excited as we got to the hotel and was thrilled when the man standing at the front of the hotel to greet people gave her some stickers

we checked in and abbie got a parcel that i have ordered from the disney florist it had mickey ears, autograph book and pen and some pretels and chocolate in it. she was really impressed

we got to the room and unpacked the cases and went for a wander around the hotel

our room was right near the skittle on the bottom floor

she really liked the red yo'yo for some reason

we had some tea in the food court and then had a very early night it was about 7.30pm but it was like 12.30 to us still and we wanted an early start in the morning for magic kingdom and breakfast at cinderellas royal table

Well we woke up very early the next morning as our times were still a bit wrong we had a pastry and some juice for an early breakfast as our cinderellas breakfast was till 9.45am
we dressed abbie up in her snow white princess dress which we had brought with us and headed off to magic kingdom
we got there a long time before the park opened we wanted to see the opening show but we were still probably a bit too early
they had made a shape on the floor with confeffi mickey mouse heads and abbie sat playing with them along with some other children
when the opening show began she was sooo excited and when mickey stepped off the train the look on her face was exactly what we had waited to see she didn't take her eyes off him
she managed to get one of the streamers that they throw into the crowd so she took that with her into the park
as we walked down mainstreet there were cast members lining the street with gloves on and they all kept calling abbie princess and saying hello to her which she loved
we had only really planned to wander around and then go for breakfast as we didn't have a pushchair yet as we had planned to buy one there but abbie walked quicker than we thought as she was really excited so we went into fantasyland. she saw donald duck and i asked her if she wanted to go see him. i wasn't really sure if she would go to the characters straight away which was part of the reason why we went for the princess breakfast first but she wanted to go see him. i went up with her and had my photo took as well but she was really not scared at all
we then went on winnie the pooh which she was not sure of the dark bits and then its a small world

it was then time to head for cinderellas royal table
there was quite a wait to go in and then a queue for the photo
the picture of abbie with cinderella didn't turn out so great as i think the amount of people waiting scared her a bit and although she gave cinderella a hug she then decided that was enough so i had to si her on my knee to get her picture taken

the picture my hubby took is better than the one they took even though you can't see her face
she loved the rest of the characters and they were really good with her especially snow white and jasmine

the food was nice although it was pretty basic things. abbie did eat 2 pastries there in between photos and getting autographs

she got a blue wand and a wishing star and the photo was bought to our table which is in a lovely folder with a nice picture of a castle
Not sure if we would do this meal again or not it was nice for the experience and it was definitly worth doing once
our view from our table was really good as well

Well I can't really remember totally what we did after breakfast i know we went looking for a pushchair had a few arguements over whether we should just rent one, whether we should go back to the hotel for a bit and so on
we did find a pushchair/stroller eventually and then i think we went on the boat thing that goes round that i can't remeber what its called right now you get on it near haunted mansion if that helps
we did decide after a while that we were better going back to the room for a bit so abbie could sleep and then watch spectromagic and wishes later We had Cosmic Rays for dinner when we arrived back at magic kingdom and staked out a really good place for spectromagic
we watched the castle lighting ceremony at some point not sure if that was before or after tea but here's a picture anyway

Abbie was pretty good at waiting for this which did suprise me my hubby was worse to be honest. I had found out how impatient he was waiting when we went to disney the first time together for our honeymoon and it seemed he has not got much better. He spent all the time sat there saying is it nearly time yet and then isn't it coming yet. There had been a bit of a downpour just before we had sat down but we just laid our ponchos on the floor and sat on them well me and abbie did jaz (my hubby) doesn't really do sitting on the floor so he stood behind us.
Abbie was amazed by spectromagic especially when mickey came by at the beginning

The spectromusic music gives me goosebumps when it starts magic kingdom is definitly my favourite park its the disney magic thing that only that park has thats pretty hard to explain but i guess most of you will know what i mean

Abbie waved through the whole of spectromagic to every character and quite a lot waved back at her we was very luckily with the amount of charcters that waved at her during the whole trip its probably *** she is so small and was nearly always in a dress (she looks a thug in trousers or shorts so i try and dress her in dresses most the time) and she is so brave and laid back nothing really ever bothers her exept for the cinderella at breakfast i still can't get over the fact that she wouldn't have her photo took with her
She liked this cinderella though

We had a lovely magic moment neat the end of spectromagic when snow white came right up to abbie and said about her dress being the same as hers as abbie was still dressed as snow white.

we then waited for wishes abbie was getting tired but she only did the odd little moan we had her dummy with us so she ended up with that in her mouth and was much happier
wishes was brilliant they are my favorite fireworks as the music just makes them so special

I have got about 20 photos of wishes but I won't bore you with them all i will show you just 2 instead

we had totally worn out abbie at this point
we headed out of the park and was not looking forward to the trip back to Pop Century on the bus but we were pleasantly suprised. They had changed the bus services a lot since our last visit and we were on the bus pretty quickly and back to our hotel it was not as bad as i had remembered

Day 3 of our trip was Epcot day we woke up at some stupid early time and we were all showered and dressed etc by 7am and Epcot didn't open till 9am
I looked back at timetables and saw Magic Kingdom had extra magic morning hour so we decided to head there first and maybe get some breakfast there or at least get on a few rides at fantasyland while its quiet
We got to magic kingdom before the park opened and watched the shortend version of the opening show
we walked down mainstreet which although nice was not the same as the morning before as there was not the cast members lining the streets like the day before at normal opening
i did actually take a photo of the decorations though this time

and a few pictures in front of the castle as there was hardly anyone about i guess everyone had run off too get on the big rides or popular ones and we were not in a rush anywhere

we went on small world again as abbie asked to go on it and jaz went on dumbo with her and then me and abbie went on the carousel again

(we ended up going on this a lot and we had taken to staying on it for 2 goes each time after the first few days as if not we had a temper when i took her off it and we didn't after 2 goes so it was easier)

Men in the U.S. just won't wear them.
Shoot, my dd used to date a guy in 2003 and he was wearing them already.
