November 3, 2007 - Western on the Magic

I'm jealous to you guys who got your docs.

I'm dying over here. We all can't wait. We just moved to our new house, so unpacking boxes sure keeps your mind off the cruise ;)

Can you believe its only 3 weeks away?

Well, I guess we'll have to wait until that 7-10 days that was noted in our "Mongello/Galaxsea" cruise packet.

I would like to have a little more time to go over them, but I guess 10 days is plenty? :confused3

Just spoke with DCL, they said our docs went out today via UPS and we'll recieve them Tuesday.

WooHoo!

I will say that for us, they are pretty underwhelming, although it is fun looking at the shiny DISBOARD GREEN :cool1: luggage tags. They only sent 2 Bahama immigration forms, but I need 3, so I'll handle that later. Other than that, it's pretty boring stuff...pirate:

OK, is anyone else out there NOT ready (like me)??? This year, I've had to be a "what's next" thinker with all the scrapbook shows and t-shirts and tie-dying I've been doing. November and a cruise was SOOOOO far off my radar. Now it's looming and I still have another scrapbook show and lots of tie dying to do, not to mention putting together the scrapbook kits I'm taking for folks on the cruise. I've hardly had time to really think about it and get my head ready. My nightmare that I've been having is that I wake up and it's time to get OFF the ship and I somehow missed the whole thing! (that and I forget my ginger and bonine... :rolleyes1 )

We have exactly nothing packed or ready to go. I don't even have a packing list (so if someone wants to share theirs, I'd be eternally grateful!) I have been gathering "cruise clothes" over the year and putting them in a special closet, but we've got Halloween costumes to deal with on this trip, formals, semi-formals, SHOES for 4 females...and only 2 suitcases each??? It's going to be a total of 3 weeks away from home, we'll get back home the Monday before Thanksgiving, so I even have to buy my turkey before we leave! :lmao:

I'll have 8 days after this next show to get everything ready for Halloween at HHI, MNSSHP, the CRUISE, 5 nights at WDW, and the last scrapbook show of the year. PANIC is setting in...

Don't worry Dawn, everything will all work out! Before you know it you'll be on the Magic relaxing.:woohoo:

Do most of the kids were costumes for pirate night?
I just bought all of us pirate T-shirts/red bandanna's
Now I'm panicing....should I run out to get costumes for the kids?

I think you will find many kids not wearing pirates costumes. Unless you read message boards or someone you know cruised on DCL before Pirate's Night is not well advertised. We usually see people dressed up but they are in the minority which is great because they look even more special. It's especially good to be in costume if you want a themed family picture. I've seen amazing Pirate night pictures.

They do give you bandanas at dinner and sell many pirate items in the ship onboard so don't panic. We usually to bring an eye patch & earring for the kids. We found that was enough for them to feel like they were part of the fun but easy to get out of. It's also good to pack light up necklaces, earrings, etc for the deck party at night.

Ok, how about we have our DIS Meet on boarding day at 4pm on Deck 9 near the Goofy Pool. If you would like, wear something to identify yourself such as a name tag or some lime green clothing, etc. Myself and my family will be wearing our matching Lime Green Disney Shirts. It's the only time my DH will wear matching clothing. :rotfl2: Also, if'd you like, please bring a little item for the grab bag (bring an item, take an item) I thought it might be fun. I bought a few little Disney things on clearance at the Disney Store. The DIS meets is a great way to meet your fellow cruisers and make some great friends. Hope you all will join us! :yay: Look forward to meeting you all!

Got my docs. (Got to agree with graygables, they are underwhelming.)

Got my line green mickey heads.

Got to get grab bag stuff.

Got to pack.

Got to get my bum-bum in gear!

(Also, got to get us back on page one!)
