November 26, 2006 Wonder check in, don't be shy!!!

We'll be cruising with you on the November 26th 4 night Wonder cruise. It will be our first cruise and looking forward to it. :cool1:

We will be cruising with you on the 26th. It will be our first cruise.
Looking Forward to the cruise. It will be me, hubby and 10 year old son.
:wizard:

I am glad you got another post. You will not be alone on the cruise! :boat:

I've heard that once you go on a cruise, you want to go again and again... :sail:

I have already forewarned my husband to keep some money aside to pre-book our next cruise while onboard. I never would have known you could do that if it wasn't for this site. It has given me so much "insider" information. It is great. Also, my DH and I stayed up until 2 am (CST) to book our Palo dinner, excursions and Flounder's times. I never would have known it was 75 days out Pacific Standard Time, if it wasn't for this site. My DH still wanted to try at midnight on EST. Of course it didn't work. Also, I never would have known about "Pirate Night" pirate: or decorating your stateroom door. I have already created some cute things on the computer. I just need to get some magnetic paper. I am planning on buying some pirate outfits for the kids after Halloween. I am sure I could find something cute on clearance.

My DH has earned some BIG points with this cruise. It will be our tenth anniversary on November 23rd. He surprised me by planning a trip to Disney World and the Disney cruise. He booked the land/sea package. We alternate who plans the anniversary each year. This was his year to plan. I wasn't suppose to know, but something came in the mail and nosey me opened it. I was shocked when I saw what it was. We went to the Bahamas for our honeymoon. One night when we were walking on the beach we vowed to "come back in ten years". He remembered that. It will be nice to go back except we will have extra baggage this time (3 kids!). :dance3:

We are staying at the Beach Club Resort before the cruise. We went there a couple of years ago for a Character Meal at the Cape May Cafe. It seemed nice. However, we don't plan on being in the room much. Our package includes Park Hopper tickets. We plan on going to all the parks. Last time, we just went to the MK and MGM.

I know we are going to be exhausted by the time we get to the ship. We booked the excursion to Atlantis Beach Day. So, I am hoping after the aquarium we can relax on the beach with the kids. What I am really looking forward to is Castaway Cay. My DH booked us for the couples open-air cabana massage. When my DS (1) is fussing from teething and needs his umpteenth diaper change, I think about the upcoming trip and the cabana massage and all is well.

It is nice having the cruise to look forward to. I am a stay at home Mom and need a vacation! :laundy:

The laundry icon reminded me I have clothes in the washer to put in the dryer. I am off to do more motherly duties. Also, I guess I should start dinner. This site is addictive. I check it every time I get on the computer. :surfweb:

I'll check back to see if you have more posts.

Take Care, Jennifer
:tinker:

Hi,
We'll be taking our second cruise on the Wonder. We went two years ago and loved it! My son was 18 months then, and now 3. We have a dd that's 15 months.

We loved Flounder's Reef - I'm trying to read up on the Oceaneer's Lab for the 3 year olds.

Can't Wait!

:cool1: Yea! More 11/26/06 cruisers. :boat: We were starting to think we'd have the whole ship to ourselves. This will be a nice first cruise for us. Plenty of room to spread out on CC. :woohoo:

:flower: bluedaisy: We will probably see you in Flounder's with our DS1. :earboy2: He will be 15 months when we cruise. How was it last time cruising with a baby? I guess not too bad if you're willing to do it again.

We plan on rebooking while onboard for 2008 :boat: (if the dates are out by then :rolleyes1 ). I figure, DS1 will be old enough by then to be in the Oceaneer's Club. Also, he should remember more of the cruise next time. DS6 pirate: and DD4 princess: will be in the Oceaneer's Club too. They are VERY friendly. I am sure they will see your DS3 in there.

Almost cruise time! :hourglass

Cruising with a baby on the Disney ship was wonderful! The first night, I had him at dinner with us but after that he was in the nursery every night from 6 til midnight. We were able to enjoy dinner and all of the evening's activities as an adult couple! You can't beat $6/hr for a babysitter.

We had a lot of family with us (and will again this time), so that helped too. The most challenging thing was naptime, but that gave one of us an excuse to rest in the middle of the day.

My family and I are going on the 4 night Wonder. I have a daughter who is almost 6. She will definatly be going to the oceaneer club!!! When do I have to book for that? My travel agent said you can book it when you get there. Only 26 days to go!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :cheer2:

Yea more cruisers!!! :cool1: We are getting so excited for the big day!!!! Working 9 hours (I work for Mattel and Fisher Price) days I am sooooo looking forward to relaxing!!!!

We registered our children online. There is a form you need to print and sign, then bring it to port. However, you can also do it when you get there. We wanted to have everything pre-printed and completed to make the registering process go faster. Almost cruise time!

Thanks for the answers about the oceaneer club. Anybody else coming from Ontario, Canada? 24 days to go :sunny:

As you can probably tell from our name, we are coming from Texas (Dallas/Fort Worth area).

pirate: Pirate Costumes: I got DS1 and DD4 cute pirate costumes at Target on clearance today. DD4 is wearing hers right now and won't take it off. I am going tomorrow to the Disney Store to find DS6 something to wear. Pirate costumes were popular this Halloween. I haven't found that great of selection on clearance as I had hoped. I also got the children some pirate tattoos. They are at the ages where they love tattoos and face painting. Slowly I am getting everything for the cruise.

:rolleyes1 I snuck into DS6 and DD4s Halloween buckets last night and pulled out some candy to give them on the trip. I pulled out a lot of M&M's. I was told they don't have candy as a topping for the ice cream anymore. My kids love things mixed into their ice cream. Also, I figured they could eat them in the movies or at a show. :mickeybar

:cool1: I have finished the signs for our stateroom door. Now I need to get some magnetic tape. My DH thinks I am crazy, "Why do we need signs?" He will thank me when we can find our room quickly. Also, I know the kids will love them.

I am off to try and get the pirate costume off DD4. We have a funtion at DS6s school this evening and I don't think a pirate costume would be appropriate.

Almost time to experience all the great things I have read on here! :hourglass

Woke up to 29 degrees this morning....can't wait for the warm days at sea!!
Only 3 weekends to go....that's how we like to count down!!!!!
Our friend from NYC talked me into parasailing with him while my girls go too......I am scared!!! Look for us at 2pm while on CC, I will be the one screaming my head off!!! :guilty:

My DH is scheduled to parasail on CC at 2 PM also. Maybe, he'll be in your boat? He'll be the 6'5" guy screaming his head off too. So, you won't be alone in the "fear" department on parasailing. I just got him on a rollercoaster two years ago for the first time in twenty years. I'll be safely on the beach with DS1. I couldn't book Flounder's Reef online for that time. :fish: Maybe, I'll try once onboard and can parasail with him? We'll see. It looks fun. :dumbo:

pirate: I finally got DS6 a pirate costume yesterday. Yea! I ended up going to the Disney Store. I broke down and paid the outrageous price for the Jack Sparrow one. However, I did get a FREE 2006 snow globe and Mickey ears for spending more than $50.

I still have to buy a pirate costume for my daughter. Haven't had much luck finding one.
There aren't too many people coming on this cruise with us. Does anybody know if it is full?
Only 20 days to go. :cool1: I am getting very excited!!!

Is there a DIS meet onboard?
