November 2, 2013 - Disney Fantasy 7 night Eastern - Cruise Meet

alright, friends... WE ARE BOOKED :cool1::thumbsup2:banana:

It will be myself and my husband celebrating our 2nd wedding anniversary while on board with the guy that brought us together himself, MICKEY MOUSE!!

You see, we met each other while participating on the Disney College Program... he worked as a photo pass photographer on Main Street and I worked the front desk at Saratoga Springs and Old Key West!!

Fast forward to 2 years later... we got married at Disney, too! Wedding Pavillion and Reception at The Grand Flo :-)

We took our first anniversary cruise on the Dream last october and now... the FANTASY!! I've also sailed before on the Magic and Wonder (twice) so this will be my 5th Disney Cruise and Tim's 2nd :-) Yay for both being castaway club members!!

Now... here's the sad part: I won't know my room number until 60 days prior, and with the way my mom booked it, they said there is chances for upgrades sooooooo we decided it to be best not to do the FE.

Sad day.

BUT!! We would still love to do a meet up :-)

I can't wait to sail with you all!!

Hello everyone...DH and I will be joining you on this cruise...its out first ever and we are very excited!! we will be celebrating our 15yr wedding anniversary!!! was thinking about doing the FE could you give us a little more information?

No, it's not too late. Just PM me your information and when I update the list, I'll get your name on it. Number and ages of participants along with room number. If you include first names, I will include them. If you want to follow the FB page, include your email so I can send you the invite.

Welcome aboard!
It’s my wife and I.

I do t think this excludes you from the FE...... Maybe Kate can speak to that after she gets back from her cruise this week.

We are joining this party! Definitely want in on the FE exchange- this has always been such a fun thing for my kiddos! I'll have to catch up later but just wanted to get on and see if there was anything going on yet for this sailing!

HI all! We are sailing this week on the Fantasy..our very first cruise!!! It will be me, DH, 2 sons, my mother, my brother and my sil!!! So excited!!! It's everyone's first cruise!

My husband and I met while working at WDW and got married at Disney's Vero beach Resort in 2006. We are no longer cast members, but live in the Orlando area. We are all huge Disney fanatics and have been looking forward to getting some of that Disney magic back (working there kinda takes it's toll on ya after awhile!). ;) This cruise means so much to us!!!

Can't wait to see you all! Is there anyway I could get in on the FB page??

This shouldn't exclude you from the FE, if you want to participate. I would only need to have your stateroom numbers about 2 weeks before we sail. I won't send the final "room lists" out until that time. So just PM me if you want to be included.

Kate

We are booked on this cruise. Cannot wait!!! :cool1: Is there a FE that has been started? It will be me, my husband and our daughter (who will be 13). This is a return from deployment trip for my husband!!! So excited. It will be our 2nd Disney cruise.

Just PM me your room number and first names and I'll add you to the list. Actually, I've added you, I just need to update the details!

Hi All,

I'm glad I went a searching and found this thread. I just spent the afternoon reading all 62 pages of posts! I'm looking forward to getting to know all of you. This will be our fourth cruise, but first on the Fantasy. This trip it will be just me (Jane) and DH (Jim). We have two boys (26 & 23) but they have school and work so we'll be doing this cruise without them. Jim and I have been celebrating our 29th anniversary next week. We live 40 miles east of SF and I'm a voluteer at the Walt Disney Family Museum.

Kate - we are HUGE Adventures Club fans! Kungaloosh I even made an AC themed FE! I'll have to see if I can remember how to post photos.

JohnPA - We are part of the WDW Radio group as well (we were on last year's cruise and even won dinner in Palo with Richard Sherman and his lovely wife).

But you can never have too many Disney friends so we wanted to join this group as well. I'm not sure if we will sign up to do the FE group, but I'll send in a request to join the Facebook group.

We will be coming in early (10/31) and staying after the cruise (11/15) to make this a nice long vacation. We are DVC members so we have booked OKW for both sides of the trip, but are hoping our waitlist comes through to stay at the Villas at Wilderness Lodge for our pre-cruise days.

I've pretty much got all the planning done that I can do for the moment, car rentals, airline tickets, lodging, tickets (annual passes), the only thing that I'm trying to figure out is what excursions to do. We are not lay on the beach type of folks (we're both of fair nordic stock and burn really easily) nor am I into hours of shopping. What do you experienced Fantasy travelers suggest for the best way to see the most of each island? Or would it just be easier for us to taxi around or rent a car (although what I read about the traffic that doesn't sound too appealing).

TTFN,

Jane

Welcome fellow NorCal cruisers! We're heading to AKV on 10/30 and going home right after the cruise. I still need to figure out what we're going to do for excursion too. We're not into shopping or laying on a beach all day either so we'll have to share ideas. I'll start planning this one after we get back from Hawaii.

Yeah other CA residents! How lucky to be going out to Hawaii!

I was just looking at the excursions offered by Disney and so far none of them are wowwing me. Hopefully we'll get some great tips from experienced travelers.
