November 18, 2006 Thanksgiving Magic Special Western 2X Castaway Cay 11/18/06

I know I'll have unused items left over. The hard part is knowing and taking back out the ones you won't be using. They ALL look important to me right now. :teeth:

One important detail I just took care of is confirming my van to the airport reservation and finding out what time we are being picked up. Not getting on our plane on time would really mess things up. Most planes are filled up and overbooked for the Thanksgiving week.

The van is picking us up nice and early on Friday morning.

Looking forward to meeting a lot of you. My board name will be on my green shirt along with the Dis Board address. All three of us will have our green shirts on as we board the ship. That means we'll have them on in the nice picture the cruise photographers take of your group as you board. :grouphug:

We are buying the photo package this year. It's cheaper than buying all the individual pictures since they are usually nice pictures and expensive. You can end up spending way too much for them. My daughter has one of those great cameras that also takes video shots. I still have the old fashioned take pictures and have them developed camera.

Ok, so I'm feeling some pressure to think up some questions to ask you guys so we can have more posts on our thread. Did you see all the messages on the other threads?

Ok, here is one for you. I don't have anything really...really formal. I've been looking for something but can't find anything I like. I'm as big as a whale right now. Which is fitting because I'm going on a cruise. On my Princess Cruise I was fine in nice black dress pants and a beautiful sparkly top. Would that be ok or not enough?

Thanks,

Andrea

Ok, folks we are in the single digits now....How exciting.

Andrea,
I think what you are describing sounds fine. It does not need to be a formal gown for formal night. I very classy pants suit would do...at least that is my opinion.

My dess is a black cocktail length dress. If I can find a picture from our last cruise I will post it.

Andrea, your sparkly top and black pants sound fine to me. Formal and elegant. :thumbsup2

My daughter is coming home from work with our documents. Her travel agent/friend/co-worker was off a few days working the election. We will be in cabin 2586.

Here are pictures of the three pillows I made for our friends. The fronts are all panels of the four main princesses. I am working on piping for DD pillow and hope to be done my tomorrow.

Hey gang.....don't worry about turning off the lights when you disembark---we're right behind ya.

Hope you have a GREAT cruise.

They look really nice, Michelle. Something for them to keep as a long time remembrance of the cruise.

Melissa-

Our DS, Mason, also 7 years old will be spending 99.9% of his time in the Kids club as well. In fact, when we told him that he may need to spend some time w/ us the first night (he's used to being dropped off at the club the first night w/o parents), he was very, very upset!!!!! :rotfl: :rotfl:

Hi Everyone,

Everything is coming together and it's happening for real!! :cool1: I got my stateroom number today. :thumbsup2 Yahoo! I have a place to rest my head. I didn't get an upgrade to the Royal Suite like I had hoped, anything is possible :wizard: , but none the less I have a stateroom!

I was emailing my Uncle today and he told me not to tell anyone what cabin I'm in and to be very careful with people I meet online. I told him that usually your name is right next to or on your cabin door so that if someone wanted to find you they could find you! I failed to mention that I was going on a Disney Cruise and not a Singles Cruise! Pretty funny. I guess someone could always smother me with a pillow signed by all of the disney characters or hit me over the head with a Mickey Mouse ice sculpture (don't get any ideas and let's not go there).

I have an inside stateroom because when you go single you pay for nearly two people. So I am just happy to be on the ship. Is deck 6 any good? Please call me in my cabin so I am not lonely :wave2:!

Andrea (Wright)

Hi Andrea, I saw your cabin number before you removed it.

Deck six is in the middle of the ship and has all cabins on it. You are near the back (aft) of the ship.

Check out this link to Dave's Disney Cruise Line Tribute Site. He hasn't updated it for awhile but most of the information is still the same. It is LOADED with good information. Check out his list on the left side and click deck plans.

DCL does not put names on the cabin doors. If you want someone to know what cabin you're in, you will have to tell them. Guest Services may connect you to a cabin by name, but I don't think they will give out the cabin number.

Deck 6 aft is a great place to be. on our first cruise in 2004, we had 6639, a cat 11 (inside) cabin. we liked it so much that last year we were in 6630, just across the hall. and next year, we will be back in 6630. the only reason we are not there this year is that we initially booked the 10 day holiday cruise, but had to switch b/c of scheduling conflicts and could no longer get the favorable rates on the verandah cabin. that said, as of now, we are in 7127 deck 7 aft, although that is potentially subject to change.

We have no problem listing our cabin number as our door signs will be giving it away anyway. that said, we love the aft section of the ship and there is a great "private verandah" of sorts at the back of deck 7 that is virtually inaccessible except from the back of deck 7 or the stairs leading up from deck 6.
