Dis Sister Mel - I cannot thank you enough for the photos - for some reason they :teleport: right to the spot and I can feel the salt breeze - it hightens my excitement (right now I'm just :coffee: and trying to get awake and catch up on the board) thanks for sharing.

You're very welcome. Feel free to scroll through the rest of the album...there are quite a few from our February Western there. I look at them all the time now just to get the "feel".

Hey guys! Just checking in. The girls and I have our awards banquet for cheerleading....YEAH, it's finally over....and then Jeff's youngest, Kristen, goes home at 6 and Jeff heads out in the truck. So.....yippee :woohoo: ....I can finally pull out all the vacation and wedding gear and get to packing!!!! We leave Thursday night....woohoo :cool1: !

Have a great day!

Kris: I hope all your plans are coming along well!

So...since poor Jack seems to keep getting jipped on the posting contest...what's next? Think we can hit 400 pages before we all head out???

We packed yesterday.

Had to adjust to meet the new TSA rules for toiletries in carry-on bags (containers 3 oz. or less, all in a single quart size ZipLoc bag per person).

Looking forward to seeing you on this cruise, and on the 11/10/07 7-night Eastern.

hello all!

i havent checked in since friday and im quite shocked we havent hit 5500 yet! i thought for sure i would be signing on to see a new goal set by dee!

i had a pork roll sandwich this morning - and yes it was yummy!
linda - it is similar to bologna but it is tangy :) and only taylors will do!

we have had a rough couple of weeks over at our place - actually this whole year - and are more then ready for a vacation - anyone having any extra pixie dust laying around we could sure use it! we found out that our cat (who is 14) needs to get a biopsy done - the dr wants us to wait until we get back so we can keep an eye on her afterwards :(

so - now that it is sunday we can officially say

SEE YOU THIS WEEK! :Pinkbounc

You know I am sending you lots of pixie dust (arrrggg, can't get that smiley to work) for you and your furbaby. :grouphug:

We've decided to upgrade. I know some of y'all are shipping boxes tomorrow and I just wanted to tell you in case you were putting room numbers on the bags that mine will more than likely be changed. We can't do anything until the morning (according to TA) but I'll let you know then. I hope it doesn't mess anything/anybody up. But I sure do want my goodie bags, so don't forget me!
Sorry for all the room drama--hope I haven't bugged y'all with it.

Ok, I don't get it. *I'm* only packing 3 pairs of shoes (wearing sneakers on plane), 2 for DS, 3 for DD, 2 for Surly. We're at 5 pieces of luggage and I really think we need to add a small one for toiletries. I could pack more into the ones we have and get by with only 5 checked bags, BUT I think we'd go over American's 50 pound weight allowance. So, do we eat the $25/piece fee or do we just add the 5th bag? I'm thinking add the 6th (smallish) bag, but Surly's eyes bugged a little when he tried to figure out schlepping the bags from hotel to long term parking to airport. We could park long term at the hotel, but it costs more than the airport's long term parking.

And, at this point, should I just focus on ease and convenience, rather than parking fees/airline fees? It's starting to stress me out here...

Arggghhh...

Sheesh, just tried on my Tux. Jacket is a little snug but the pants fit fine. Thanks God for those expandable waist bands. All I had to do was un clip the hinge, let out the waist an inch or two or three.... and the fit just fine. My 7 & 8 year old DS's look great in their tuxes. My 13 year old DS has grown about 6 inches since our cruise 2 years ago so he couldn't get his tux pants past his knees. Going to have to wear slacks and jacket. He seemed quite happy about that as mumbled something about being glad he doesn't have to look like a penguin and his goofy dad and little brothers. Teenagers these days.

See you in about 144 hours.

AAAAARRRRRRRGGGGGGGHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!

Well Jack, it looks like you just lost your way into another free drink :thumbsup2

By the way, 5500 is a much more monumental post than 5000 since it is may be the last marker we hit so I think Wendyjersey should buy us all a drink!!!!!!! :rotfl2: :rotfl: :lmao: :happytv:

(plus it detracts everyone from the whole "5000 incident" in which the winning poster shall remain unnamed) ;)

Carolyn, I say "Heck with the expense, go for convenience" (though lifting a 50 plus pound bag isn't very cncenient, is it?).

Melanie, glad you decided on the upgrade, you coming up to join the small group of us on Deck 7? Let is know when you know.

David, I love 'expando-pants', I've brought a special pair for the end of the cruise, just in case the extra walking doesn't counter balance the extra eating!

OK, went to Peg's for a quick breakfast...ended up relaxing on the patio then SOMEHOW managed to fall asleep (both of us). Now it's NOON and I gotta get busy! But here I am, checking in what y'all are doing instead of doing my stuff. Right now I'm feeling very glad I'm taking Thursday off work. We're having perfect weather here today, it's hard to stay inside for very long.

OK....back to projects for me.....

We have resolved ourselves to having to pay the airlines additional charge for the “extra” weight. We had bought new very large rolling duffels before the change in the airline policy, mostly so that we would not have to struggle with many small bags, but also because they will stow under the bed in the cabin.

Don't worry you haven't been "bugging" anyone. I know the whole room thing really had you very worried, so now theres no more worries right :) !Also we will all find you to tag.
Carolyn
I am only bring 3 pairs of shoes for myself. last cruise I had like ten pairs on a 4 day it was CRAZY!!!!I swore I wouldn't do that again. But I do have entire suitcase of shoes for the family. Vito jr has very large feet of an 11year old (mens size 12) And has to have both pairs of crocs ,sneakers, filp-flops and dress shoes. His shoes alone make it hard to fit anyone else.
