My sister pooh: (poohluvsfigment)is almost there. She is on her way to DL. It was a surprise for my BIL :ssst: . We are east coast girls and have never been to CA. She took the "mickeysspaceshuttle" and so far so good. They will be staying at the DLH (?). I am so envious ;) . I want to go. Heck I want to go to WDW so I will take any Disney trip at this point. :cool1:

Jackie, I like the silicone bracelet idea...then, the kids can wear them, too! No axes, though??? We'll have to think of something clever...and a little less threatening...

Carolyn

Jackie,

I like the bracelet idea :thumbsup2 keep us posted.

I also like the bracelet idea! I do have a lime green top and sandals, but I can't wear that everyday. Lime green is not an easy color to match, LOL. I'd much rather wear a bracelet that I could leave on the whole time than try to find more lime green clothing. :teeth:

Jackie count our family in on the bracelets! My 2 older sons collect the silicone bracelets (middle DS even trades his with other friends). Before our last cruise we purchased some lime green ones from the Disney store in Downtown Disney that had Mickey head impressions in them. It added a fun touch of lime green to our DISmeet.

As for the glittery green axes... don't be shocked if one appears as part of our door decor. :goodvibes

Sorry I missed the chat night - the main deterant to police work is the shifts - hope to catch you all next week - must say I LOVE the bracelet idea. Count me in for "1". It was funny, when I took my last cruise, we all emailed eachother with extra pictures so we could definetly recognize eachother. I can't wait to meet you all. I will bust my brain trying to come up with some suggestions for what to put on the bracelets - maybe the Double Scoop Group.
Speaking of the DME, I wrote to Disney on the past experience and let them know my experience was not very "magical" or an "express". Let them know, the next time I used it, it was much better.

AnniM a word of warning......you might want to change the font size in your siggie....it's WAY bigger that DIS guidelines and you don't want to loose all your work if a mod should delete it. Though I think they give you a warning first so you can correct it....the olden days it would just dissappear!

We've got a long time to noodle around with the bracelet idea....don't think I'd do any ordering till the 75 day pay-up date at the earliest. Although I want enough lead time if people will want them BEFORE they leave for the cruise. castlegazer is just now placing their order, so we'll know in a couple of weeks what they really look like!

Like the Bracelot idea....we also ordered the LIME GREEN Dis PINS from this site......and I REALLY thought Dee was Boa Shopping...I guess Sarah and I will be the only ones....sniff, sniff :confused3

The bracelots are great because we can wear them throughout the cruise and know each other!!!! or run away...depending how the DIS meet goes :rolleyes1

and I PROMISE, I will update the first page over the weekend..so if anyone wants something cahnged...post it in the next 2 days...
Disclaimer: :furious: Dee :yay: is NOT allowed to add any more RELATIVES.... :rolleyes1

I vote for bracelets.... and I'd buy a boa if I could find one in lime green! I'd buy five! Although, I doubt all 4 dp's would wear them. The little people and I would for sure! :cheer2:

Still have my DIS pin, too. Although I'm not overly impressed with those.

Sleep well! :sunny:

Linda here are two pictures from the Jan '5 WDW 1/2 Marathon...WISHWALKER group.

That's me on the left ,then TigerLily, then Moli...her mom is in the pink across from me. I think you said you have met them. Then here's a shot of allmost all of the WISH group. We had just had dinner at Trails End (we pretty much took over the restaurant).

i like bracelet idea we take 4

pat very funny dee can in vit her family

OK, I'm in picture posting mode now. Anybody watch Days of Our Lives ???

Here's a picture of me and my Beau ;)

OK, last one. Here is TiggersPal and I at Disneyland a couple of years back. Don't we look like fun? Aren't you anxious to meet us and party on the big boat? Notice how you CAN NOT SEE OUR AXES. Pluto never knew what hit him.

That was a great trip actually. We stayed concierge at the Grand Californian and got food poisoning at ESPN Zone. Well, the food poisoning part was really bad, but the hotel took great care of us. We recovered quickly enough that we were able to dance in the Disneyland parade that night! Hmmmmmm. I think I have a photo of that somewhere.

HI! :wave2: Just been too busy lately to post so here is my 2 cents worth.....

If I never did any good for these Boards, I did it now......I have officially coined the term "axe murderers" amongst well-amused DIS'ers. :cheer2: I am the proud author of the term :stir: "axe murderers" may be lurking...so be careful! :smooth:

The group of DIS'ers I sailed with last Nov on the Magic did the lime green (silicone) bracelet thing and it worked out great!
We had a very daring/patient sole sailer who headed up the project getting head counts and sizes. Also, she went through a bit of a pain from the merchants who sell these items....with the refusal to print the word "Disney" on the bracelet.

So we ended up with lime green bracelets that say, "Nov. 12, 05 Eastern Dizneycruise"......or something really close to that....can't remember right at the moment and the bracelets are burried in a pile to be included in the scrapbooks! Sorry!

We were the talk of the ship. The DCL people knew the lime green thing. They absolutley read these Boards....so don't let that fool you.

We met Brent, the cruise director, personally......and I had a chance to ask him about the DIS Boards. He acknowledged them and he said some of the cast members follow them religiously. Some not, or course. But the DCL eyes ;) are lurking when there is hot topic! :furious:

Anyway, we are all for more green wristbands and it is easy, cheap, and a great keepsake! We just need to find a fearless leader and everyone needs to be responsible to send checks to that person before we order! :rolleyes1

Jackie
I love the lime green bracelet idea. Count us in for 4. My son also collects them, actually has a ton of them! Also love your pictures. I hope this weekend I mail you the one of us. Life has really gotten in the way lately. Hopefully things get easier soon. You mentioned the trails End. We love it there. We stay at FW alot and It is always where we eat on the 1st and last night of our trip.

My sis is staying at the Grand Californian on the 5th floor and loves it. I want to go.

Howdy. We just switched to this cruise from one later in November due to some scheduling conflicts. I see this thread is onto the 83rd page, so I will have to read over the prior pages as time permits. We are a family of five, with a five year old daughter and twin boys who are now 15 months old (they will turn 2 on the cruise (the 13th) and I will also celebrate my 35th birthday on the cruise (the 17th)).

We are very excited about the upcoming cruises this year. We will be on a 4 day on the Wonder at the end of this month (only 22 more days to go), and then onto the Magic in November. Due to our second child, actually ending up being our second and third children, we had to take last year off last year from DCL.

I saw a few posts on the Atlantis. We have been there a few times during a stop on the Wonder and have a room booked there for the stop later this month. It is a neat place, although unless you are a big gambler, I cannot see staying there for more than a few days.

Having done this a few times before, I would be happy to provide any input to those questions that have not been answered since this thread started.

Also, I believe this cruise stops at Costa Maya. Anyone ever been there before with words of advice on what to do?

Scott
