I had a department party last night and a company party Saturday night. I've booked a room at the Orange Tree Resort and Peg and I are having girl' slumber party there tonight. I'll crash there after my company party Sat night too.

I took a vacation day today and am going to the car dealers to buy the car that I've been leasing...it will be nice to see those payments go down. After all, I've got more cruises to save up for! :thumbsup2

Hopefully some double-dippers will check in after the holidays! I know I'd love to hear how everyone is ::yes::

I've been checking in... and working on my trip report... and planning for my son's bday... and planning for Christmas... and going :crazy:

I am now officially off work until Jan. 3rd. Tim comes home from China on the 23rd, and we have our annual open house on the 24th (you know, any of you are welcome to drop by if you happen to be in the neighborhood). :teeth:

Then after Christmas we fly down to So. CA for a quick trip to visit family before he leaves to go back to China. The only "free" day we have while we are down south is the 26th or 27th, and we think DL will be PACKED on those days... so we may try taking the kids to Universal for a day (they've never been there). I know... it's not DL, but I still think they'll like it.

Anyone have any fun plans for the holidays?

My holiday plans include working, unpacking and making family dinner on Christmas eve. On Christmas day we will travel to the kids houses to watch the grandchildren enjoy their gifts.

Now I am hoping Santa brings me a surprise cruise, but I think that maybe an empty wish. :confused3

Well, I'm back from the car dealer, don't have a payment till the end of January AND I'll be $120/mo richer!!!!!

I found out my FICO score has gone up (YEAH!), finance guy says he's only seen ONE that was higher than mine (by 2 points). That made me feel really good, so I'm taking a few moments to be proud of myself. Though it could be that just dead beats are buying cars there..... :confused3

No, Dee, that two week August adverture would take a lotter win!

BTW, is anyone else having trouble editing posts? I tried to edit the above
(to 'lottery') and when I hit submit I just get a white screen and am locked. It happened this morning also.

Just popped in to say :wave:

! Work has been busy, :crazy2:

busy at that. Lots of politics and stress, BUT we've also had some really good times, Christmas party which was a blast and DH's is this Saturday so that will be good too!

I'm getting a new laptop at work (Merry Christmas to me) with all upgraded software to better do my job - :yay:

- even though it's their asset sure helps me!

I heard that DH is getting an 'award' at his Christmas party - I'm so proud. :love:

I STILL have dreams about the cruise and now look back as a method to handle stress and bring a smile to my face!

I am looking forward to the next vacations (both) but have YET to book that England trip. I had to clear my schedule with the bossman (real boss not DH).

And it looks good - so I will be booking that this weekend!

Sis and I are doing a PJ PARTY tonight - and I am looking forward to that. Ok, better finish up a few things on my desk so I can relax a bit next week.

OH - we WON the 150 million dollar bid!!!! :cheer2:

Congrats Peg, but doesn't winning the bid also mean more stress at work? It seems like it might be one of those wonderful yet crazy sort of things. :teeth:

Not for me directly. Although we did the presentation, the Phoenix Office will actually be doing the work for the bid. Yipee! I work at the corporate office...

Mine arrived safe and sound. Peg....if there is anything wrong with yours, you can have mine, as I have one from last year. I was just listening to it last night!

Well, only a four day work week....so I think I can survive it, plus only a four day work week next week (and I bet we get to leave early on the 29th) AND the week after is only four days!!! It will be really hard to go back to working a full 40 hours after that. PLUS, trying to put in double-triple-secret overtime (as Pat would say!) for cruising $$$$.
