. . . Am I the only one who thinks the October double dippers are being awfully closed mouthed? Do you think it was a "What happens on the ship stays on the ship" kind of trip?!! Still hoping to hear some kind of report from them before we leave.

We have been on cruises where the DIS group broke off and started their own private website instead of posting on this public board. Maybe the October double dippers did this.

I was extremely nervous until we had our mini DIS meet in DL with Jackie, Peggy, Woody and Mrs. Woody. . . . Can NOT wait to be shipmates with them!

We had a terrific time meeting you -- Carolyn & Co. -- at the Disneyland mini DIS meet as well. Looking forward to seeing you soon.

Since I've been under a rock for a while....
Can someone fill me in on this whole DIStag thing? What am I supposed to take? How does it all work? With all the wedding stuff I have to take with me I need to see what all this involves.....

Kris: I hope the wedding plans are coming along well. Looking forward to seeing you and Jeff. As an update, some DISers are thinking of joining us on the 11/10/07 7-day Eastern Caribbean cruise (a "Double Dip reunion" of sorts). Perhaps you could encourage them too.

Good morning all!
Just a little about does anyone's family think the Dis a little weird? quesion.
I have a the pleasure of meeting Jacie and a few other AMAZING Diser's on our cruise last year. Infact it was Jackie who told me about this cruise and we just had to tag along . Yesterday I had the honor of meeting Hannosmom her DH, chichihoney and grayfal. We had a wonderful afternoon at DTD and I felt like I was hanging out with "old friends" We had the priveledge of seeing Sarah become a royal princess at the Bibitty bobitty Boutique. AMAZING!! Vito jr got to talk with her about their mutual love for toontown and pin collecting.We can not wait till we meet again on the cruise. They were a wonderful distractoin to our difficult day today. Angelina is finally going for her MRI (with sedation) and today will be a very LONG day. I had to wake her at 4:30 am to give her her Meds because she can not eat anything after 5am and no drink after 9am . Her test is not untill 2:30pm .. Crazy! Any way wish us luck.

Were you all in the Christmas store yesterday? I was in there around 11ish and saw a woman with a lime green mickey head hanging from her purse and I said "hi DISer!" she got a big smile and said hi back.

Melanie...you are so good! Of course, making your own gifts for the kids is so much more personal (and cheaper!). I ordered from Shirley just for the sheer ease of it all. Trying to simplify this cruise. Not entirely sure how good of a job I'm doing....

Carolyn...finished packing and leaving in 1/2 hour....can NOT believe we made it through the last 3 months...thanks for being a grand distraction all...

I'm thinking that we'll have dinner, see the shows, and then when the kids go to sleep I'll head up to the bar and catch the 2nd half of the game.

Now, if my wife wants to join me and have a glass of wine, that would be great. But, since we are not big wine drinkers, I'll have to get her an Applitini.

Woody you are so smart. That is a good thought. When did the Oct people come back. Maybe they just haven't had time yet to sit down and write. I know I will no doubt be working OT just to get caught up in our department when I get back. Sometimes vaca are more work than staying at work.

Hey do any of you Chase Disney Visa users know at what point you actually 'get' your rewards to transfer to your card? My billing cycle ended 10/20 and I've transfered all points to my rewards card....BUT what about charges I've made since 10/20? Do I have to wait to the next billing cycle to be able to transfer them? That would be a bummer, since I just charged $700 at the dentist.....heck that's a sail-away drink!

Dh has said that they show up before the bill is paid when I have asked this question in the past. I'm sorry, I don't know exactly when. You'll have to keep checking. Even if they show up while we're already on the ship, you can transfer them using the internet. I'm sure someone in this group will have email access.

Speaking of: How does the internet access work? Do they put it on the KTTW or what? Will Dh and I both be able to access it if we pay for only one? Our house will be for sale while we're gone, so we'll need to be able to hear from the realtor.

Also, if we bring Dh's laptop, can we use that for access or do we have to use the ship's computers?

I only have two weeks left to work...yeah! I took Thu 11/9 off as a prep day for the cruise. My poor team-mate goes right from handling all the political advertising to covering my desk. She has all of 48 hours to catch her breath between the two adventures in broadcasting. I think she deserves a BIG present from Mickey!

Jack, I'd try Diversions to watch the game. They have several big screen TVs... at least one of them would have the game. How did a Giants fan get so far away from CA?

Wendy, The Giants from CA stopped playing a few months ago. That's baseball. I'm a Football Giants fan. They still play just a few yard from my office here in Jersey.

Good luck to you and Angelina today. That does sound like a very hard day. Maybe a trip to the toy store is in order afterwards? My kids had to get a bunch of injections last week for our move to China. Promising them a toy afterward made the day much better. I know that is bribery, but they didn't ask to move across the globe...

The good news is, with all these shots, we'll be able to travel anywhere in the world, so no worries in Mexico!

On our last cruise, we could use either the computers at the internet cafe, or a wireless connection with our laptop. Either way, the first time you log on, you set up an account so fees can get charged to your room account. Everyone in your cabin can then use the same account.
