We're headed to Busch Gardens (Williamsburg) this Saturday. The grands and their mom are visiting this weekend. And the weather looks to be fabulous. Cross your fingers.

HEY ALL - sorry I've been away for a bit - feeling a bit depressed and this morning I woke up thinking "I"M NEVER GONNA MAKE THE CRUISE" '

this doom and gloom cloud hanging over my head - WHAT'S UP WITH THAT?

Don't worry - I found out why - HORMONES!!!!!!! Thanks be to GOD - because I was getting worried about myself for a bit! WHEW! I'm back now!

Hey guys - just checking in....and boy have things been busy around here!

I'm also like WAAAAAY behind on my CJ's....sorry Pat.....so that has to be done tonight. I told Pat in a PM she can kick my butt on the trip.

Had a scary 4th. Went to the beach, had Haleigh on a raft (with a life jacket) and I was holding on.....got caught in an undertow and went down. NOBODY would help! I could have cared less about me but I was so scared about Haleigh either going under or watching me go down for good. Finally someone noticed and it took about 6 people to pull us in. It was so hard trying to stay calm for Haleigh...and the look on her face when it did take me down and I finally managed to get back up to the surface.....I'm not sure she'll be ready to swim in any "big water" for a while. She had nightmares the first night but last night she seemed okay. There was a kid from a nearby town that drowned in the lake on the 4th because of the extremely harsh undertow so Haleigh got a little clingy again after hearing about it. I'm going to have to make more trips over to the beach to get her used to the idea before sailing or you can forget ocean swimming....no matter how calm the water seems.....

Other than the near death thing and being slow....things are going okay...

Jeff surprised us and decided to take a road trip on Sat/Sun before he left out of town for the week. When to visit some of his friends over in Urbana/Champaign IL. Nice change of scenery.

My wedding packet is due tomorrow...putting the final touches on everything so I can email it tonight.

Sheryl's wedding prep is going pretty good...only a few weeks to go....

Heather is still at her dad's house and won't be home until August. Haleigh leaves for girl scout camp Sunday so I'll have the week for major wedding prep with Sheryl.

No luck on combining receptions at all. Jen said it compromises the integrity of DFTW. She said there is a special party you can have but it costs extra and I figure we'll be able to see each other by working it out ourselves.

I registered the "boys" for the Cozumel Cruise Excursions dune buggy tour...anyone else signed up or hear anything about it...this is not the Disney tour...

The girls are going to go to one of the beaches, but we haven't decided which one....

Becky...Our family of 4 has a reservation with Cozumel Cruise Excursions for the dune buggy tour, too! I'm a little nervous about it, as there hasn't been a lot of chatter about any dune buggy tours. Personally, we don't need an off-road ADVENTURE, just looking for a little something different. Have you heard anything specific about this company??

She's doing better. The nightmares seem to have stopped. Although she's heading off to girl scout camp on Sunday and tonight as soon as "lake" was mentioned she freaked out. I had to sit her down and explain that the tiny lake at the camp is nothing like where we were and that she will be watched every second by the lifeguard...plus they won't let her go out of her "zone". So....hopefully it'll go okay. I'm planning on letting the camp know when I take her just in case there are issues.

Yes, it was frightening. We lost a 17 year old boy from the next town on the 4th to an undertow so it just reinforced Haleigh's fear.
