Nov resort choice VAK or BLT??

Our home resort is BLT. We waited to see when our kids would be off school before attempting to book our trip. Unfortunately we were within the 7 month window for everyone else and no standard view 2 bedrooms were left at BLT nov 9 to nov 16. I guess Veterans Day is popular? We could wait list but what are the chances of getting it? We decided to look at VAK jambo 2 bedroom value. Has anyone stayed there in this type of room? Any room like this have savana view that I could request?

you cannot request a view if you book a value villa. you just get what you get.

if you want a savanna view, it's best to book that.

why not get a lake view villa at BLT?

We are the opposite of you. Own at AKV but want to switch to BLT - same exact dates and a 2 bedroom as well. I can tell you that there are no values left for that week. There are standard views. Are there still Lake View at BLT - because that is what I am planning to ask for.

Just to let you know when using your points in the future I have found that if I want a standard unit at BLT I need to call within a day or 2 of the window and during the fall book immediately as the window opens.

I had no idea how quickly BLT standard view fills up! I will never wait again if I plan to stay there!

Looks like everyone thinks the same about conserving points! Value rooms must be popular. We may end up staying in just a standard 2 bedroom. Not sure if we will stay at kidani or jambo. Which do you like better? We rent a car so transportation is not an issue.

We had a standard view at BLT last year and requested a certain room number not view and it worked out great. We tried this again but waited too long 7 months window and all were booked.

Not sure if we will stay at kidani or jambo. Which do you like better? We rent a car so transportation is not an issue.

We prefer Kidani, especially the pool area. But do visit Jambo House! The lobby area is fantastic, the gift shop much bigger as well as the savannah viewing platform.

That is why I figured I would post that info- I did book a week late for the weekend before Thanksgiving this year and booked lakeview as standard was already booked but waitlisted standard and it came through a few days later so when I don't get it a little after the 11 month window I will waitlist and sometimes it comes through.

I have never stayed there but from what I have read here the 2 bedrooms at Kidani have an extra bathroom if that is important to you.

What is that? We arrive on the 9th. Hopefully it won't make it too busy. That is our arrival day so hoping the rest of the week won't be too busy!
I thought since we are at the end of food and wine it won't be.

The values are 40% savanna view, 40% pool and 20% parking lot (actually you see mostly trees). You cannot request view and all are ideally located in the front of the Jambo building and thus near lobby, bus stop, restaurants, store, and pool. They are nice rooms but understand they are significantly smaller than a BLT 2BR. I do not know how many you have in your group but any more than 5 or possibly 6 will be a tight fit in the value.

We have only stayed at Kidani because we wanted the third bathroom. We don't mind not having the counter service right there. We don't mind the walk over to jamboree but only used it twice in a week anyways. We don't ever have a car with us. We find the buses are very good from Kidani.

That weekend is very busy. F&W festival is ending so it is swamped. The race starts at 10PM that evening and finishes with a party at Epcot for the runners. 13.1 miles through three theme parks.

By Monday, you should be having less crowds.

We weren't going to any parks on our arrival day. Sunday I was going to stay away from Epcot. We much prefer quieter times, but our son has Monday and Tuesday off from school so it makes that week a good one to go for us.
I knew about F&W but didn't know about the race. Thanks for the info.
