Nov-Feb Best bet with 60 day holding restriction

Hi everyone, and sorry for another best time to go thread, but the search feature is what it is and I guess I have a little different situation.

Through a number of missteps I'm sitting on a decent number of holding points as well as a smaller number of unbankable but unrestricted points, so I have to figure out how to use them up. My use year is March and we're expecting our second child in August. So basically we're looking at a 2br probably for a week so we can take my in-laws and juggle an infant and our 2yo dd between the four of us :scared1:

Based on that November will be the earliest we can travel, well aside from next Tuesday :rotfl2: . Obviously December is pretty much out, so with that in mind, here's my actual question. During which month between November and mid-February do I have my best chances of being able to book a 2br for a week 60 days out?

We're fairly flexible on the resort, we own at SSR and have always stayed there, but AKV would be cool (we should be able to swing up to a savanna view, but concierge would be pushing it) and we honeymooned at the WL prior to buying DVC.

Thanks!

End of January or the first week of February.

Cool, thanks! I actually prefer the way off season, but I think my wife isn't too hot on it, I guess we might try November since it won't hurt, then just go for the latter if it doesn't work out. Seems to me like we'd be better off traveling with a 6 month old than a 2 month old anyhow. Plus I'm still not used to 4 season weather, so going somewhere that MAY be a little warmer (it's always hit or miss that time of year) in the winter months is appealing.

just because you don't think you can get Dec - doesn't mean you can't try for it.

now at 60 days you still might not - but closer to 30 days you might. (okay if you have to fly this is a problem - but if you drive you can wait)

That's a very good point. I'm not so sure why I'm wigging out, I once booked a few nights at SSR the day we showed up in Orlando. I guess because they're holding points and with our family's new addition coming it's gotten me freaked out that I'll lose pretty much a year's worth of points in one shot

I think the plan at this point is to just sort of figure out how many days we want to stay exactly and starting on what day of the week, then just start calling weekly at the 60 day mark until something shakes out. Then if it gets closer to Jan come up with plan B. :)
