Hello everyone. Just booked for the Disney Wonder cruise scheduled to sail on the week of Thanksgiving 2013. Just wanted to see if anyone else is planning on sailing this time.

Take care and everyone have a great Thanksgiving 2012...see you on Thankgiving 2013.

After 3 DCL cruises I have finally joined the DIS Board. Looking forward towards DRIVING down to Galveston from Dallas instead of flying (2x) and driving (1x) to Port Canaveral.

Who else is coming from the Dallas area?

I have added your thread to the cruise meet list :goodvibes

have a great cruise!

ConcordeMickey, we are right there with ya....after 6 cruises (half driving and half flying to PC), we are so excited that we can drive to Galveston! We had one booked for Spring Break but weren't too excited about the stops....when they added Key West and Castaway Cay I KNEW we had to book.
We just got off the Fantasy Thanksgiving cruise and had a great time. Looking forward to this one already.

We just booked!! I am so excited that I have been doing this little dance all day...:cool1:
This will be our second cruise and we are going with family this time! I guess all my excited talk about Disney cruising finally worked! I am already packing.. even if its just in my thoughts and dreams.

Hi,
I was beginning to think we were all alone on this trip. So glad to see we have an actual meet thread. We booked a while back when this cruise was to Grand Cayman, Cozumel, and Costa Maya. Well I was surprised to say the least by the big change, a little disappointed at first, but hey, it is still a Disney Cruise right. :) We are traveling with our whole family this trip. This will be our third cruise and we are looking forward to sailing from our home state of Texas. It will be my family of 5. My mother in law, sis in law and her family of 5, my mom, sister and 2 nephews, oh and my brother in law. Figured we might as well all go together since it will be Thanksgiving. We usually have everyone at our house for that day so it will be so nice to not have to prep, cook and clean up.
I am looking forward to passing the time with you guys. I read these boards a lot, don't post much be love to just take in all the great info. Guess that is all for now. We still have a ways to go but hopefully time will go by fast.

Glad to have you on here 3angels. We had 4 sets of friend that were on Fantasy Thxgiving cruise. Our we will be on this cruise with 2 other familes that we are friends with in our neighborhood. In all we will have 7 kids with us ranging in ages from 6 to 16. We love the Thanksgiving Cruises.

We booked this cruise last summer while on-board the Wonder in Alaska! We're looking forward to being back on the Wonder!

Howdy Y'all,

We just booked today. This will be our second Turkey Day cruise out of Galveston. It's going to be a long 307 days.

Can you tell us what sort of Christmas activities were available on board? Was Santa there? Was the big gingerbread house in the atrium?

While the overall trip was excellent, the Christmas part of it was a huge letdown. Everything I read prior suggested that the holiday decorations would be complete when we boarded. The day we got on, they built the gingerbread house but that was it. As we were getting off, they were beginning the rest of the decorations. There were no holiday activities. They didn't even do anything with my 5 year old in the kids club during the week.

From what I read after we returned, the Magic was the only ship that didn't have anything during the same period. :confused3

Ooooh. That is a letdown. I hope the Wonder is better. Still, it is good to know--I was getting excited for all the Christmas stuff, but it sounds like I'd better not get *too* excited.

We can hardly wait to set sail again with Disney. Our family of 3 went on the Magic for 9 days and spent Christmas 2012 with Mickey and Friends. It was our first cruise, and we had a wonderful time. We are looking forward to cruise #2 and sharing the experience that the Disney Wonder has to offer.:cheer2:

Hello Cruisers, being new to this and seeing it on the 2012 Christmas Cruise we do not want to miss out on the gift exchange with our fellow cabin mates. Can anyone tell me how this gets started and how it works? I know it is a bit early, but if I don't plan for it, it will sneak up on me. Thank you..

Hello all,

I booked my family on this cruise. (Myself, husband, and boys 6, and 'will turn 5 on cruise')
I have recently returned from the Disney Magic Cruise January 12, 2013. (the Fog Delay Cruise). Myself, my Mother and both boys went on that one.
I felt, with Disney leaving Galveston, I won't likely have a chance at another Disney Cruise. Also, they are offering the Wonder, I just couldn't pass up the other boat, with different shows, decor etc.

We are going with a standard inside room, again, but this time we're going to try a sideways room.

Essentially, someone needs to volunteer to track room assignments, pick cutoff dates, and the like. I'm surprised no one has by now but there seem to be very few participating in this thread so far.
