Hi all !!
I posted this in the resorts thread, but only got 1 response, so trying here for some advice.
We always go to The World in October, and have been doing so for years. For our next trip in 2027 we are thinking of changing it up a bit, and going the beginning of November, but would like some advice on which week.
I’m looking at Nov 5-13 or Nov 12-20 (2027)
Should I avoid the 5-13 to avoid the tail end of Jersey week? Is the 12-20 gearing up for Thanksgiving crowds?
We love our October, but would like to see a little Christmas decor for once, and still have food and wine. (Plus all my photos albums look alike, lol)
Can anyone chime in and give me some advice? We are out of our element with November, and don’t know what to expect, especially crowd wise. I’m really hesitant to change from our tried and true, but we are definitely curious.
Thanks!

There really is no tail end of Jersey Week. Most parents take their kids out for the whole week. That’s what we did. But we also stayed through the following week. We did that the entire time they were in school.

I would avoid Jersey week. It’s just gotten more and more crowded over the years. We avoid that week now.

Nov 12-20 would be a great week. You shouldn’t feel Thanksgiving crowds. I can’t say for sure about the 20th because we only did the parks for the ten weekdays. That’s your departure day anyway, no? But the 15-19th should be great, from our experience. Big difference in crowds.

Agree with the others to go mid November before Thanksgiving. Nov 12-20 sounds like it would be better with crowds and should be beyond any Food & Wine running events, while still being able to catch a few days towards the end of the F&W Festival at EPCOT.

Wine and Dine dates won't be announced for at least another few months, probably November at the earliest, but lately they've been going with end of October, probably preferring to avoid Jersey Week.
Food & Wine runs to 11/21 in 2026. Likely to be similar in 2027, but certainly not guaranteed.....

I would do mid November but adjust expectations about Christmas decor! Magic Kingdom will be decked out because MVMCP will be in full swing, and AK usually has some decor up early (not sure if big tree will will be up, but the Merry Menagerie animal puppets should be out and about). Some of the resorts don't put up decor until mid November or even a little closer to thanksgiving. The resort schedule is a tiny bit different every year. That being said we LOVE mid November!! Great time to fit it in and like PP said you can catch the tail end of F&W Festival!
