Hello! I'm so excited that our family will be visiting the parks the second week of November. We are all first time visitors to Disneyland, although we did visit WDW when I was a child.

I'm wondering about parade schedules. What are they usually like that time of year? I'm hoping for afternoon parades since that would be best for my 5 yr old. my parents would like to see a nighttime show or fireworks as well. Do that still have those at night in the off season? Ive read different information on that. also, i'm assuming Fantasmic will still be closed. Thank you!

Welcome to the DisBoards! And "There's only one man who would give me the Rasberry? Lone Staaaaaarrrrr."

Unfortunately, DL doesn't post park schedules more than 6 weeks out, so we're a long way from knowing for sure. I was there on the 2week of Nov last year, and they had a day parade daily as well as Paint the Night. I'd like to think they'd continue this, but with the 60th celebration ending, Paint the Night might not be offered nightly. I hope that's not the case, but it may happen. As for Fantasmic!, it'll be close until at least Spring 2017. And fireworks during that time of year typically happens only on Fri-Sun. I wish they offered it more but they don't.

We enjoy November :) the fireworks are often cancelled due to wind. Just an FYI so you can prepare yourselves mentally.

Thank you for the information! I'll hope they continue the trend of one day parade and Paint the Night! :)

Gotcha! thanks for the warning. I'm looking forward to it! i hope the crowds aren't too bad. Can you say what you enjoy the most about visiting in November?

What I like most is the weather (not too hot - evenings are cool); the Haunted Mansion has the Nightmare before Christmas overlay; you can see the Christmas decorations going up; some of the Halloween merchandise is still around and you can pick it up; and depending on when you are going, it can be very quiet on weekdays. If your going around November 10-14 just know it will be crowded between the Avengers Half Marathon and Veterans day - which just means planning for the crowds more than anything.

We go home on the 10th so I'm hoping to avoid the worst of the Veterans' day crowds.

The expo is both November 5 and November 6, although as StayClassy said the actual day is the 6.
