Nov. 16-20 Christmas decorations?

I know that the Christmas decorations aren't advertised to be up until Thanksgiving. We'll be in Orlando for a conference from Nov. 16 - 20 (the Wed. - Sun. before Thanksgiving). Has anybody been there during that timeframe before who can tell me whether the Christmas stuff will be up?

I know that ICE! will be open at the Gaylord Palms, and we're going to see it, but I sure would like for DH to see how Disney does things at Christmas.

I'm not 100% sure, we usually are there the week of Tday and the Sat before there wasn't much in the way of decorations up yet. I will say that Christmas is moving further and further back so you never know.

We went in 1998 the week of thanskgiving (sun - friday) and they were up. A co-worker used to be a CM and she said that it all depends on the crowds and how much they can get done overnight. She left one night with the parks normal and came in 8 hours later with the decorations up.

Well, we'll cross our fingers and hope for the best. Maybe we'll get lucky. We may be able to wrangle staying through until Monday, but I don't think so.

We were there last year the week you are going and will be there this year the same week. They were in the process of getting up most decorations. We got lucky at MGM and one night they did a test of the lights and we saw the whole Osborne light set up. Its kind of hit or miss though. It is nice though because the crowds are sparce - which is why we like that week.

That's kind of what I was hoping - that we'll at least get to see some things. As I said, DH has never seen the decorations, but I have. They certainly are beautiful.
