pixiedust: I have added your threads to the cruise meet list
Have a great Cruise! :beach:

We're in! Me, DS(18) and DD(11). We are doing a BTB with the Nov 6th cruise, and can hardly contain our excitement as it will be our first BTB. :hyper:

Booked our family today :) Me, DH and our 2 DD's - currently 3 and infant, but so far out will be 5 and 2! :) We are in Dallas, so glad we get the opportunity to go out of Galveston when we missed them the first time....

That's funny, we're almost the same as I'm 37, my DW is 35, DD#1 will be 3 next month and DD#2 is 4 months old. :)

Okay, I may be slow on the uptake, and everyone else already knew this, but I just realized that based on the 2014 details, our cruise should include the holiday decorations and activities. We've been to DL during the holidays, but never a cruise before.

Just booked our first cruise, so excited!!! So long to wait.....
Wil have 12 year old daughter, 21 year old daughter and her boyfriend with me.:cool1:
We will be on the Wonder November 13th 2015.
Any information, suggestions, and new friends would be great!

:welcome: Cruising can be addictive! My daughter turns 12 next month so they will be the same age. :thumbsup2

I'm slow too then...what activities are unique for the holidays in November? Is it more Thanksgiving type items? We did a December cruise for our 1st Disney cruise and it was decorated beautifully for Christmas....

I got the following from Disney Cruise Line website under Very MerryTime Cruises. The dates for the Wonder 2014 are: November 09, 2014 - December 30, 2014, which is why I think our cruise will have it.

Holiday Cheer at Castaway Cay
A winter wonderland awaits you aboard each ship—as well as at Castaway Cay!

Disney's private island paradise is transformed with "snow" flurries, a Christmas tree and more. Be on the lookout for Mr. and Mrs. Snowman, dressed in their island attire. Plus, the island's tram is decorated to resemble a reindeer, complete with antlers and a tail.

Onboard Experiences

On the ship, discover a festive fusion of holiday-themed entertainment, activities and décor—with a life-sized gingerbread house, 24-foot Christmas tree, garlands, poinsettias, shimmering lights and more!

Other holiday enhancements include:

  • Deck the Deck Tropical Holiday Party, a celebration in addition to Pirate Night, with candy-cane limbo, dancing and games
  • King Triton's Tree Lighting Ceremony, where kids can help light the tree and kick off the holiday festivities
  • Santa Claus meet-and-greet, an exciting opportunity to take family pictures and see Santa and his elves
  • Meet-and-Greets with some favorite Disney Characters, dressed in their holiday attire
  • Teen-only and tween-only holiday parties—private celebrations where teens and tweens can hang out with new friends
  • Holiday storytelling, with new and old tales about holidays at sea and around the world
  • Themed activities and crafts for kids—decorate stockings, make holiday cards, go on a holiday scavenger hunt and more
  • A life-sized gingerbread house made completely with edible ingredients—and the opportunity to make your own gingerbread house*
  • Holiday merchandise available for this event

Wow, thanks for sharing! All I remember from the Disney Magic December cruise was the tree, holiday decorations (including a large gingerbread house), and occasional characters in holiday garb...some of the activities like building a gingerbread house were also available, but our DD (only one at that point) was too little to participate...

So excited there is a group already, we just booked this one and the one before for next years B2B's

woohoo

We (Me, DH & DS 7) will be joining you for our 3rd DCL adventure and first time out of Galveston--We just got off the Wonder on June 9th and wish Nov 13, 2015 wasn't so far away still!

:welcome: We just got off the Wonder on June 2nd, so you were the cruise after us! I hope your Alaska cruise was a Wonderful as ours was. ;)

Just changed our dummy booking we made on the NYE cruise this past year to November 13, 2015! We did lose our discount and OBB credit because our new reservation was more than 18 months from our booking date, but that's the breaks.

It will be my 2 boys, who will be 6 and 10 at the time of the cruise, my husband, and myself. We have a family of 6, who are friends, who are booking today! We are super-psyched Disney came back to Galveston, although I WISH they would give us a little action during the summer, so we didn't have to pull our boys out of school for 6 days. I'm a little nervous about what their school will say.

Anyway, we are super-excited! We LOVED our first cruise on the Wonder and cannot wait to do it again, this time for 7 nights! In the Bahamas! :yay:

Does anyone know what they are doing in Nassau? I can't seem to decide.

:welcome: Sorry about the OBB. I feel your pain. When I booked onboard I knew I wanted to do a BTB, but I wasn't sure which one. Even though I explained this to the CM, he told me to just book a cruise and transfer later, but once off the ship they would only use the OBB for 1 leg of the BTB. If I had known, I would have made the decision while onboard which BTB so I could have discounts on both cruises. Oh well, live and learn!
