"Nothing's sweeter than summertime and a Disney vacation!" -A 2010 TR- *UPDATE* 10/17

The photos are great. I didn't know you could get video postcards sent home from Spaceship Earth! That was cool. I noticed your lunch at CBR included Worms in the Dirt. What is that??

oh, the worms are my favorite thing about CBR! We stayed at Wilderness Lodge the last two years and I missed the worms & dirt! I just had to get them our first night at CBR.
CBR is my favorite resort, it's so pretty. :)

Caribbean Beach is a great resort! The food at OPR is really good. The breakfast is great, you'll definitely want to eat there. They have Mickey Waffles and they also have eggs and stuff like that. There's also a Grab & Go place where they have muffins and danishes and cereal. We ate breakfast at OPR every morning and we really enjoyed it! You'll probably love CBR. :goodvibes

Joining in...my sisters and I just got back today so now I've got to beat the post-Disney blues by reading lots of TRs. Great start so far! Oh, and by the way, I love Lady Antebellum too. :thumbsup2 Can't wait for more.

Great pictures of CBR...it's looks so beautiful!
Thank you, CBR is such a pretty resort! :)

Day 2: Magic Kingdom EMH!
We're on Day 2 now. I left off with us going to sleep because we had to be at MK early today! And because we went to sleep early, we were up rather early. Earlier than Old Port Royale opened for breakfast. So we got ready & walked slowly to Old Port.
Before we left for Old Port, I took this picture. Don't they look just so super excited to be going to MAGIC KINGDOM today? :lmao:
IMG_4319.jpg

A picture from the balcony. It looked nicer in person:
IMG_4312.jpg

Our nice slow walk, obviously wasn't slow enough because we arrived there before they opened. We walked over to the pool to check it out.
IMG_4338.jpg

Then we heard some rumbling and figured Old Port was now open! Our first rope drop of the trip. :thumbsup2
IMG_4335.jpg

We went into Old Port and I went right to Grab & Go because i wanted a muffin or something like that. I wound up getting a cheese danish, which was yummo! I don't really remember what everyone else got because I didn't take pictures. This may have been the day where DSis got the Bounty Platter, which has like every breakfast food under the sun.
So after we ate, we walked back to the room to get ready for rope drop at MK. We went to go get a bus pretty early because they were opening at 8. We got there with plenty of time before opening and got a spot near the front and waited for the little Good Morning show. Once they threw the pixie dust and dropped the rope, we were finally inside of MK!
The castle!!

A closer look:
IMG_4340.jpg

DSis & I went straight to Space Mountain with the rest of Magic Kingdom & I think DParents went over to Buzz Lightyear or something like that.
On our way to SM:
IMG_4341.jpg

As we were walking there we overheard a talking to someone in her group saying that they were going to rush right to Monsters Inc. Laugh Floor because she really had no interest in Space Mountain or Buzz Lightyear and she really wanted to see Monster's Inc. Okay, do what you want, but I wouldn't rush to Rope Drop at 8 AM for Monsters Inc.
Anyway we were on our merry way to SM. The line was out the door, but they were only letting in a few people at a time so they didn't have to open up too many of the ropes inside.
This was the first time we were on SM since the renovations and I think they did a great job. It is much darker & the waiting queue is nice. We got seats 5 & 6, I got 6 and DSis got 5. I love the back, it really is different from the front, much faster!
After we got off, we got fastpasses for SM for later & went over to go meet DParents at Buzz Lightyear. Apparently it was walk on and they went on like seven times.
We all rode Buzz Lightyear, Me with DSis, and DParents together.

Here's a look at our scores. And I'd just like to point out that this is my highest score EVER. Usually I am super lame at this ride, but I got lucky this time and actually got over 10,000!
Here's my lovely score:
IMG_4348.jpg

& here's DSis score. It's okay, she tried her best, I guess.
IMG_4349.jpg

The we headed over to Fantasyland because that was the only other place open for EMH.

A Dumbo topiary:

Then we took pictures in the empty Dumbo car:

Then we had some time before Frontierland opened so we rode one of my favorites, It's A Small World! We had to ride this today because the next time we were going to be at MK, it was going to be closed for renovations.
IMG_4354.jpg

Here are some pictures from the ride:

This is what DSis looks like on the ride, happy right?

The cowboy, I wanted to find the Native American also, but I didn't think of it until I saw the cowboy.

Bye!

Continued in the next post

By now it was 9:00 so we headed over to Frontierland to ride Big Thunder Mountain!! Usually when it is a regular opening we get to ride BTMRR many times, but it seemed that this morning everybody had the same idea as us, go to Tomorrowland, then go on Big Thunder Mountain, so we only rode once.
After we got off of the wildest ride in the wilderness, we went back over to Fantasyland to ride some of those rides before the waits were too long.
Peterpan was first!
IMG_4389.jpg

A picture from the line:
IMG_4395.jpg

Then we went over to Snow White's Scary Adventures:
IMG_4397.jpg

IMG_4398.jpg

After this we rode Winnie the Pooh! It was literally walk on. we walked up the ramp and there was a honey pot waiting for us!
They're doing some sort of construction on the outside of this ride:
IMG_4400.jpg

Now we were going to go over to Toontown, but on our way DSis wanted to ride the teacup ride. DParents sat this one out. Probably beacuse years ago there was a minor incident where DDad & DSis rode together and DSis spun the teacup a little too fast & DDad was not feeling very well afterward, i think he was a slight shade of green.
Anyway, DSis & I went on and nobody got sick!
DMom took this of us on line:

After this we went over to Toontown. DDad & DSis went to ride Goofy's Barnstormer while DMom & I wandered around Toontown for a bit.
IMG_4407.jpg

We went to look in that big tent store & we saw that the princesses had almost no wait, I think it said 5, but we walked ride into the room. I think now with the fairies, nobody wants to meet the princesses anymore.
Me & Cinderella:
IMG_4408.jpg

Me & Belle (my favorite!), she wanted to know if there were any libraries where I come from.
IMG_4409.jpg

Me & Aurora:
IMG_4410.jpg

Then we looked around the store & waited for the other half of the family to get off of Barnstormer. When we met up with them we decided to take the walkway over to Tomorrowland so we could use our fastpasses for SM.
On the walkway:

Coming Up: Tomorrowland & Lunch!

It looked a little busy for EMH....but of course the front of the castle is usually the most congested.:sad2:

I can not do the tea cups either!!!

Can't wait to hear more.

Great morning at MK. I'm with your dad....I can't do the teacups either:sick:
I've never had much of a problem with the tea cups, but maybe because I don't let DSis spin them. :rotfl:

It was so crowded that morning! I've never seen it so crowded at an EMH. It was worse than a regular opening rope drop, but that could be because everybody was going to Tomorrowland & Fantasyland instead of all around MK.

Day 2: More Magic Kingdom
I left you guys on the path from Toontown to Tomorrowland. We were headed over there so DSis & I could use our fastpasses for Space Mountain! While we were on Space Mountain, DParents went on the Transit Authority. I think DSis & I went on Space Mountain twice because we got fastpasses with our parents' cards, too. After we got off of Space Mountain we met DParents around the Transit Authority and we all rode together.
IMG_0143.jpg

I always get a funny picture of whoever is sitting across from me on the TTA. This time it's a funny picture of DDad & DSis! :rotfl:
IMG_4421.jpg

The castle:
IMG_4424.jpg

After we got off we probably walked around Tomorrowland for a bit and then headed over to Liberty Square for some lunch. We were going to eat at Columbia Harbor House!
On the way we took some pictures in front of the castle:
DSis & I:

DParents:

IMG_4427.jpg

Entering Liberty Square:
IMG_4429.jpg

I went to get a seat while the rest of the family ordered, I already knew what I wanted. I headed upstairs and got a nice table where you can look over & see the people ordering.
It's never too crowded upstairs:
IMG_4432.jpg

In a little bit DSis came up to wait with me for the food.
The second funny picture of DSis taken today:
IMG_4436.jpg

Then DParents came up with our food!
I got chicken nuggets:
IMG_4439.jpg

And the rest of my family got tuna sandwiches:
IMG_4440.jpg

We didn't get desserts, just two water bottles each (one was the drink and one replaced the dessert) because we wanted to get ice cream later on.
After we ate we started to walk over to Adventureland so we could ride some things over there. On our way we saw Jesse, but the line wrapped all the the way around through Frontierland (& I think all throughout Magic Kingdom. :rotfl: )
When we got to Adventureland we rode Haunted Mansion. It had a very short wait. I rode with DSis & DParents rode together. We stopped in the ride for a little bit, in the room where there is the head on the crystal ball, so we heard the things the head says over & over, but we were only stopped for about two minutes or so.
After Haunted Mansion, we rode Pirates of the Caribbean. This is not my favorite ride, but I haven't ridden it in a few years so I decided to ride it this year.
After an uneventful ride on POTC, we headed over to Aloha Isle for a snack.
Does anyone know if this seating area is new? I don't remember seeing previous years, but it's really nice.
IMG_44413.jpg

I got the 'Citrus Swirl' which is orange & vanilla ice cream swirled together, like a creamsicle. it was yummy!!
IMG_4443.jpg

DSis got a Dole Whip:
IMG_4444.jpg

& DParents got root beer floats:
IMG_4445.jpg

After we finished eating we headed over to Main Street to look in the shops for a bit. For some reason I didn't take any pictures of the shops.
So after we looked in the shops, we headed back to CBR. We didn't wait too long for a bus, I don't think.

Coming Up: Downtown Disney!

Sometimes I see people go on them and they don't spin them. It still spins a teeny bit but not as much as it would if you were spinning it. :)

I would be the one holding the wheel to avoid as much spinning as possible

Space Mountain and the Transit Authroity were closed last August when we went. I'm glad they were open for you. The dole whip looked delish - that is another thing I wanted to do last August and didn't. Looks like I have to go back!
