I feel your pain, Washing machine overflowed 2 years ago (on April Fools Day no less)and we lost the whole back of the house. Water wicked up the walls and cabinets, ruined the floor, flooded the basement...oye! It was a NIGHTMARE! It took 6 long months to get it all put back together. The real kicker was that when the gut was shooting one of the last nails into the baseboard after installing the wood floor, he punctured a pipe and and it seeped under all the new wood planks and we had ANOTHER flood! I'm telling you, NO JURY would have convicted me at that point! I hope it is all taken care of soon for you.

Broken water heaters are not fun! They sure do make a mess when they burst! We've had a couple break, and it is annoying.
