What a lovely day at Epcot. I have definitley got to get on board with those Grey Goose slushies!!
Starting at the bottom and going clockwise: Shredded Beef Tamale with Avocado Creme and Cilantro Rice (mine),
I posted this in my TR but someone else was looking to share Steve's pork:
And that!Cheese Fondue in a Bread Bowl wit Fresh Steamed Baby Vegetables and Marbled Potatoes
And that! Yum!Sachertorte: Chocolate Cake with Apricot Jam and Dark Chocolate Glaze, or as Ricky called it the best chocolate cake he's ever had. He didn't even complain about the apricot filling and he does not eat cake with fruit filling. I almost got another piece but I was full as was everyone else. I was sad.
This looks yummy and like something I would eat!
I have to say I think for every ounce of cheese they put in the fondue, they put like 6 ounces of beerbecause nobody was going to argue whether or not this was BEER cheese fondue! Ricky recognized the beer taste, but Chris just said something didn't taste like cheese but he liked it.
Yay for another DIS meet!!The rest of our time in WS was spent listening to the holiday storytellers, introducing the boys to the VoL, and meeting new friends when we caught up with Tammy,@wdwnut61 here on the Dis and her daughter Kathy:
I know some of you can recite this with me: grey goose slush=sunshine in a glass![]()
That Tamale looks relish! How can you not like Cilantro?!! I love the stuff!Regardless my tamale was delicious, even the cilantro rice and I'm not a fan of cilantro at all but it wasn't overpowering. The tamale itself was nice and soft and the meat had so much flavor. I couldn't get enough of the avocado creme either, there was a decent amount but I could have used more.
I don't know if I have ever really had 3 Kings bread that wasn't kind of dry and tasteless. Mind you, I not really in the right area of the country for fresh 3 kings bread. but I feel like a lot of times, it just realizes on the frosting.est way I can think to describe it. Very sweet. The "bread", which was more cake-like, was bland to me. The outside was hard and while the inside was fairly softer it didn't have much taste, so I didn't waste calories on it. Everyone took a small bite and agree with me.
Seriously, that bird looks like it is going to pounce any second now!
That looks amazing! We are suckers for Cheese Fondue!
You do!! Put it on your list for your next trip! What a lovely day at Epcot. I have definitley got to get on board with those Grey Goose slushies!!
The Three Kings Bread is definitely something that looked better than it tasted unfortunately. However I've never had it before so I don't actually know if it was good and just supposed to taste that way??You ordered what I wanted at Three Kings! While I am so happy that the tamale was good, I'm super sad that I missed out on it!! I'm also sad the three king's bread there wasn't great, because I agree about how pretty it is (It's why I wanted it, too!)
It was fudgy and moistMost chocolate cake just tastes brown to me. Who wants to eat brown?? The sachertorte looks like it has some fudginess to it, and the fruit filling might make it moist, so I think I would like it!
Right?? Anytime bread and cheese are together it's a go for me!This looks yummy and like something I would eat!
Thank you! Stitch shirt is from Kohl's, they usually have such cute shirts there. It really was a great day!Oh heck yes! Cute pic of the two of you with your delicious beveragesI also love your Stitch shirt! Sounds like you guys had a fun day.
You know why? It tastes like soap to meHow can you not like Cilantro?!! I love the stuff!
Well if you aren't in the right part of the country for it then I'm not either, since we're both in the Northeast! I've never had it before so even though I didn't like it I really can't say if it was good or not because I have nothing to judge it by.I don't know if I have ever really had 3 Kings bread that wasn't kind of dry and tasteless. That's what I thoughtSeriously, that bird looks like it is going to pounce any second now!
Requirement notedI can't believe your trip is only 3 weeks away now. So exciting!!!! Putting in my requirement for lots of food porn now![]()
That's why I was a bit disappointed with the portion size. There were a few more booths I wanted to try but I was just too full. We could have cancelled Il Mulino but that was NOT happening!Loving all your holiday food. I'm not sure if I'd like the bigger portions or not, just because I like to try so many things.
You're sooooooo close!!One of these days I'll get my **** down there at holiday time.
And great job boozing it upOne of the many reasons we get along so well

It's def something for us "northerns" need to make at home, not buy! I always get suckered into the ones at the grocery store... not yummy. Yours did look yummy! They all do! maybe that is how they are to be?!?Well if you aren't in the right part of the country for it then I'm not either, since we're both in the Northeast! I've never had it before so even though I didn't like it I really can't say if it was good or not because I have nothing to judge it by.
I will live vicariously through your next trip report for sure! And look forward to lots of pics, as well!Requirement notedand I believe it can be fulfilled, no problem
I'm back! I'm trying to finish this puppy up before Steve and I leave for the first of our 2 F&G trips three weeks from today![]()
I did not take pictures, I'm sorry, nor did I take pictures of the 2nd sandwich we had to get him after he dropped the first one, after taking just one bite.
I'm not a fan of cilantro at all but it wasn't overpowering.

The potatoes were really delicious and went so well with the cheese fondue, just wish I got more than half of oneThis looks pretty awesome!! I love that Chris just knew he tasted something other than cheeseInteresting pairing w/ the veggies and potatoes, too.
I can't remember if they had booklets like that at F&G either, but we haven't been since 2015. I'll find out in 17 daysI really like this booklet, and don't remember it from the Flower & garden festival! Very cool.
Oh no you're one of those! LOL
'This is the one thing on the holiday menus that REALLY excited me , but alas I never did get to have it. Looking at this, I should do a cheese fondue dinner at home though!
ExactlyMMMM I have yet to find something too spicy for me, I'll have to look for these!! It's hard to tell, are they like chips in the shape of fries?
Yum...lots of goodlooking food items!
It looks so good!my tamale was delicious
On the list! I've had it before, but don;t they have a lemon one and an orange one...or am I not remembering correctly?
This is right up my alley!Cheese Fondue in a Bread Bowl
I noticed this from the pictures above. To die for! I cannot believe that Ricky didn't share!
Looks good but definitely doesn't sound good.Chocolate Apple Shake featuring Twinings Winter Spice Tea (non-alcoholic)
Oh my. Not for me thanks! I live a little spicy, but that's about it.Tip: if you have the desire to see what it would be like swallow fire, go ahead an try these! Ricky hates spicy, Steve sometimes likes spicy, I love spicy, and Chris REALLY LOVES spicy, so he ate the whole bag. I tried one and could have used like, 5 grey goose slushes to cool my mouth off!
Looking forward to reading about it!we were taking the boys to Il Mulino
You're allowed, as long as you keep us up to date on the wedding plans![]()
I swear it's the best TS dessert on property! Maybe a nice dinner when your whole family is there for the wedding?
You really should. I do like guacamole and avocado but it really doesn't taste like either IMO. It's definitely sweeter than I thought it would be.
Lol it's what he likes! At home we'll often get a pie with onions and peppers; he just left off the peppers.
Yup, for now it's all I like too because it's sweetA friend told me to try Reisling which I guess can also be sweet so I've tried a couple, but haven't found one yet that is sweet enough!
IDK? Well, have you ever heard of a wedge salad? Those don't have the lettuce cut or chopped up, but rather a "wedge" or chunk of lettuce. This wasn't described as such but maybe that's what they were going for.... It's really just another way to serve a salad. Not my favorite as I prefer my lettuce delivered to me ready to go into my mouth!
Yes! The orange one is a Grand Marnier slush. I've never had it but hear it's really good, just hard for me not to get the Grey Goose lolOn the list! I've had it before, but don;t they have a lemon one and an orange one...or am I not remembering correctly?
Wait until your boys get older. Less snacks for youI noticed this from the pictures above. To die for! I cannot believe that Ricky didn't share!
I knowI haven't even been doing that lately...
I get it! I usually tell my clients about the signatures but never suggest them right away. I think those are more for people who enjoy eating fancy on a regular basis or who have been to Disney multiple times. Our families will freak over the cost of food at Disney, so we're trying to stay away from signature restaurants![]()
My friend told me to try Reisling. I've tried a couple but so far haven't found one I like. I'll have to look for the Two Oceans!I've found a few Reislings I like, but none as much as moscato. My personal favourite moscato is Two Oceans, it's a South African brand.
Yes I read about the drink options at the SW party and I agree, those look much better. The dessert party looked like fun! We did the Star Wars one, and I loved it! Based on the descriptions, I'd say the drinks at the Star Wars one were much better than the options you had though.
They're the 2.0 version and while I didn't think I'd have a problem with them (and I really don't), I think they look fine in the box but kind of funny on my wrist. It feels the same in weight and when I put it on, but it just doesn't.......sit right? It sticks out too far? IDK, it might be because I wear so many bracelets and this is going to interfere with them more than the old style.
Little story, we used to spend every Christmas Eve at my cousin Bonnie's house and have the typical Italian Feast of the Seven Fishes, which I never ate. Pasta for me. My aunts and uncles tried constantly to get me to try fish. One year, when I was 10, Bonnie offered to make me a chocolate milkshake which was strange but I said yes. It was delicious and a bit chunky. After I drank about half of it I found out the chunks were actually chunks of squid![]()
Needless to say I haven't let any part of an octopus near my mouth since.
Italian Rice Balls over Spicy Marinara Sauce
Oh, Chris. My baby. My angel. I do love him so, so much. There was corn meal on the bottom of the crust so this was a no-go. He ate like, a piece and a half and then ate the cheese off some more and was done. Steve tried it and said it tasted great, much, much more like pizza should, like NY pizza, better than Via Napoli as opposed to your basic and usually nasty Disney pizza. We like a thin crust and while this wasn't what we'd call thin it wasn't thick and had good flavor. The sauce was the same as on Ricky's chicken. A couple years ago when we went to Universal Chris got a kids pizza at Confisco's and had the same problem with the cornmeal but it was pouring off the pizza like dandruff. Here it wasn't too much but he noticed it and that was the end.
Santa is chill but Mrs. Claus looks like she's searching for a child to eat for dinner lol.
