All I know is it's a movie that was based on a book. Kinda like a Walk to Remember. I haven't seen it or read the book so i don't know what it's about.

The Notebook is one of the most beautiful movies I have ever seen. It is also a book which is pretty good.

It was written by Nicholas Sparks. I agree--the movie was amazing. I had read the book years ago. You will like to read his stuff if you like reading. He also wrote "A Message in a Bottle" if you saw that--Kevin Costner/Robin Wright.

agreed. I saw is 5 times and I've read the book twice.


The movie focuses on an old man reading a story to an old woman in a nursing home. The story he reads follows two young lovers named Allie Hamilton and Noah Calhoun, who meet one evening at a carnival. But they are separated by Allie's parents who dissaprove of Noah's unwealthy family, and move Allie away. After waiting for Noah to write her for several years, Allie meets and gets engaged to a handsome young soldier named Lon. Allie, then, with her love for Noah still alive, stops by Noah's 200-year-old home that he built for her, "to see if he's okay". It is evident that they still have feelings for each other, and Allie has to choose between her first love and the man her parents approve of.

The Rescue is by far one of the best books I've read in a really long time. Coming from a long line of firefighters, I was interested in the book after seeing "A Walk To Remember" and then reading The Notebook. Even better was the whole thing with the boy since that's the type of child going to school to work with.
