hi all ,
for a forthcoming family trip this summer I emailed disney direct to see if it would be possible arrange some bookings by email ...

since the village that I live in in scotland's telephone exchange is still the old analogue system and we have yes ..we still have trouble in this day and age making international calls.....how ironic the inventor of telephones was a scot yet i cant even make a international call without fear of being cut off..

well long story short disney emailed me back saying sorry couldnt help and I would need to phone to request bookings.......to use their own words...

"We are sorry this is not the favorable response you were anticipating, we appreciate your understanding. If you have questions or need further assistance, feel free to contact us."

can anyone offer any suggestions...anyone know anyone in the reservations department that could make a few advanced bookings for me ?? the trip isnt till july.....

any advice welcome

and best wishes from bonnie scotland

Why not try a Disney travel agency. They're free, and you communicate with them thru e-mail. The agent I used last year booked our resort package and also made (and changed numerous times for us) our dining reservations. Just for your info we used Your Magical Journeys (yourmagicaljourneys.com).
Good luck!

It's not that they aren't very helpful. It's that this isn't how they do reservations right now. The system isn't set up like that. I know many people would love to see an online reservation system for dining(including me) but it isn't available.

I think your only option if you want to make arrangements via email is to use a Disney travel agent specialist to book your trip.

Or you could e-mail me and I could call for you. I'd be glad to do it, just PM me and I'll send you my e-mail address if you want.

Harry - I phone from the UK usually around 10pm our time and I always get through easily and not kept on hold.
Good Luck!

thanks everyone for the advice..and especially thanks to tinker*shell*bell for your kind offer.it would be too much to expect someone to phone to make a booking for me.

hence i will make an effort to try and get through this incoming weekend.

i still think its abd a show on disneys part that they cant accomodate email bookings.

cheers again

Hope you have a wonderful time at WDW!!!!!!!! :sunny:

Actually DVC members used to be able to bok meals through Member Services email. It was discontiued years ago. I assume because some folks were too unflexible on their seating times.

If there's anything else you need, I live locally and have plenty of free time. :wizard:
