And here we have definitive proof of the debauchery and hedonism in lands outside America... On the advice of Mom (who is er, 'more mature', than some of us and thus I trust her guidance) I went to download Sex and the City movie from iTunes. It is not in the American store, so on a hunch I checked other lands. Yes, it is available through the German and the Canadian stores, just not the American store....

(Oh, and that R rating? 'Freigegeben ab 12 Jahren'...)

This threads really touches on someone's right over someone else, and it is very clear that everyone does not see offence in the same things. Unless the movie was complete "adult" stuff (aka porn), I don't see why you shouldn't watch it in flight, it it legally and widely distributed after all. More so, I would probably take offence if I was asked to turn it off. I don't control the smelly perfume you wear, your smelly food, your foul language, or the extreme violence on the overhead movie! I live with all those because they are not illegal.

And on the philosophic debate (thanks Bavaria for putting some action here! Missed your insight ), I could never understand how some people accept pretty violent movies, but turn their eyes in face of a plain natural unclothed body. I was watching a documentary yesterday, and the moment we got a full naked view (a very ill man, no sexual intent here), I knew it must be Canadian! (they didn't have the Brit accent...)
