Not sure how to???

Not sure who to ask or if I'm asking in the right area of the DVC forum so I apologies if this is not it.
I would like to know if someone could tell me,
1. Can it be cheaper to rent a resort from a DVC member then to book a resort from WDW
2. How would you go about it
3. How hard is it to get dates in July (this is the only month we can go)

Yes, it's possible to rent a DVC villa from a member for less than it would cost thru CRO - BUT - be sure to do some research and know what the cost from Disney would be before entering into a rental agreement.

You can post a request on the DVC Rent/Trade Board for the dates/resort and type of room you'd like and see if a member can help you or you can respond to one of the offers by members wanting to rent.

July 2008 could be difficult, especially if you want around July 4. But you don't know until you try.

Remember, you are renting a reservation from a member who is just an individual. They set the rules. Disney doesn't get involved in any way, even if you have problems. Be comfortable with the member you are renting the reservation from. And plan on your reservation being a final transaction. Cancelling or changing might not be possible.
