not sure how to plan for next year

we had to cancel our trip this year and are already looking forward to start planning for next year

just wondering what thoughts are for planning

we own at poly with an aug UY and usually go the end of Jan

but since at least for now things seem to be settling down so Im wondering how this will

impact the resorts and parks

we usually book near the 11 month window which is coming up--and then see if we can change at 7 months--

anyone think this will be a possiblity or should I just plan on booking right at 11 months to make sure we have something

aslo if want to change at 7 months will walking a resveration help at all

Im not sure at all how walking even works or how helpful it is so if someone could help me on that

so any thoughts on how next year might play out

I would advise always booking at 11mo then changing at 7mo; at least you’ve got a reservation. I don’t know how next year will look but the hotels are always at capacity.

it’s hard to walk a reservation at 7mo- and I personally wouldn’t recommend it…. often there may be fully booked dates already.

walking is when you book dates before your ideal dates, and you add a day onto the reservation (and drop a day) as each day passes.

We have gone 3x during the pandemic (Xmas 2020, summer 2021, Xmas 2021), and I definitely advise booking at 11 mo to make sure you have a reservation. Only during the Christmas 2020 trip were there rooms available last minute (with room availability changing rapidly).

For our upcoming summer trip we did not need to walk at 7 mo but we did book in the morning of our 7mo day, and got BCV. So I think availability is still somewhat softer than before.

Hey! I'm sittin' here tryiing to figure out how to plan my Aug. use year Poly points too!

I want to plan.... but I'm MORE than 11 months out. Rather, I have a trip booked for August 2022 but I don't know what to do with my unused points after that. I would love to plan.... but I can't. I don't know when to plan for. Only that I need to plan something before July 2023. But we are going to Europe in June 2023. So when before June?
