We (myself, dear sister and dear nephew) drove down yesterday and misjudged the traffic down here in LA and so we arrived at DLH about 15 mins before our 7:30 PS for Ariel's Grotto and our WOC preferred seating FP. Our dinner was fine, the food was surprisingly good (had the tri-tip) plenty desserts and very tasty)
The difficuties started when we returned to the hotel. We had just dropped off the bags and not checked in so we were checking in at midnight. So we get to our room to find . . .
one king-size bed . . .
for three people . . .
and they wanted to move us to the Wonder Tower and then move us back to Dreams the next day. . .
at 12:30am.
We opted for the free roll-away bed for the nephew, and a Dreams to Dreams move tomorrow, but I also needed internet access and of course there is no cable. So I have to phone down and it takes someone 20 mins to bring it up . . .
it's the wrong cable . . .
and it's 1am now . . .
and we want to make rope drop today . . .
and the cable gets stuck in my laptop and I can't get it out.
This morning we had to pack up and leave the bags and go downstairs to "check out" of the king bed room and into the 2 bedded room. The clerk tells me someone has to go back upstairs and wait for bell services . . .
and that we won't be able get to our swimsuits at 1pm for our mid-day break because "check in is at 3pm"
Really? All the hassles and trouble caused by the room assigner and various other incompetents and they can't find a room available at 1pm?
So we agreed that the bags would stay in the original room and we would have access to them until our new room was ready.
And then someone had to come bring a repair kit to get the incorrect cable out of my laptop--thank goodness the laptop still works!
So our day at the park went well and then we go to the pool and relax . . . until some fool who was obviously raised by pigs, throws a glass bottle into the pool and leaves a poopy diaper as well. So the DLH pool is closed until further notice while they sweep the entire pool for glass shards.
Off to dinner now . . .
