I would like to join the fridge swap. We'll be there on Dec.29-Jan.1, 2010

Is anyone in our swap planning on attending either MNSSHP or MVMCP?

I am still debating if the kids will come or not, but I am pretty sure we'll do MVMCP on 12/15.

We will be at POP from Aug 15-22, 2010. would it be possible to reserve the refrig for that time frame? I have done the swaps previously, actually had one myself a few years back until it was lost. I understand all of the rules and cleaning it out and either handing it off or leaving in luggage service. Please let me know and what information you would like.

Arg! Stroller hunting is making me crazy. My kiddos are 4 and 2, we don't use a double stroller at home, just a sit & stand but I want a double at Disney so they can nap and also sleep while we party at MVMCP! I'm looking for a used stroller on craigslist but of course I have champagne tastes on a beer budget. But I think it's a better savings to buy one used and re-sell it once done versus renting from an off site company.

Anyhow I just looked at a used Combi Twin Sport which new is $190. The lady was asking $130. I went to see it and it was filthy! She didn't even bother to get the crumbs out of the seat! I have bought 2 strollers off craigslist and have sold 2 others - I have never seen an item so dirty!

I just want to say WELCOME to the DIS and the Not So Scary fridge swap! Please be sure to check back on this thread often. We love getting to know our fellow swappers! It's also helpful to stay current on an updated info about the swap as well as ease of swapping our wonderful small appliances!

I can't tell you how excited I am to have the use of a fridge, coffee maker (mandatory) AND toaster!

Now I only wish the stroller situation was this easy!

Do you have any specific room requests? Can you check on any of that when you do online check in?

So, my trip is me, DH, DS4, DD2 and my DMom. We have 2 rooms. DM has promised to sleep in the room with the kids and let DH & I have our own room! So we requests connecting rooms (door in between) and one king room/one double room.

On the online check in the only room requests you can make is for a play yard or a portable play pen crib. I have noted on my ressie close to foodcourt and buses, but I didn't pay for preferred so we will see what happens. I'm very excited but I have so much to do. On top of this fridge swap, I'm also coordinating a photopass share, working a full-time and a part time job, but also single mom with 3 kids. So life is kind a crazy but I wouldn't trade it for the world.
I keep hoping for FDP mama melrose ADR!!!
