We have LOTS of threads on which resort is your favorite (not the best, since we know how subjective this topic is!). But I'd love to hear which section of which resort is your favorite? Is it POFQ, or maybe you prefer the AB part? Are you a Casitas or Cabanas fan at CSR? CR wing or tower? Which part of Pop or All-Star? You get the drift....here we go!!!!

I LOVED our stay at POFQ. I think we were in building 5. We had a lovely "view" of the river and it was a short walk to EVERYTHING. The grounds were so peaceful and lovely. Just a nice little resort!

My favorite resort is POFQ too!! My favorite bldg is bldg 3! 3rd floor! We were close to the courtyard and it's nice to stroll along the pretty street to the food court.

My favorite deluxe resort is the Polynesian. I like the Fiji bldg facing the beach/GF. I feel isolated, like I am actually on the island. I don't face any bldgs in front of me. It feels secluded, like no one is around you.

My other favorite deluxe resort is the WL! I like staying at the courtyard view facing towards MK. I like sitting in the balcony and watch the beauty of nature has to offer. It is so peaceful and breathaking.

BWV 2-Bedroom facing the Boardwalk and the lake. Very large, nice view with a lot of action to watch, and best of all, close to Epcot (our favorite park).

For most of the resorts, I really have no preferred area. But, POR I definitely prefer the Bayou, don't care which building, as long as I'm not in the mansions (they are just so boring).

The cabanas at CSR our my favorite. I just love the view of the lake and the white sand beaches. Great place to take a romatic walk. Love the hammocks too.

At Caribbean Beach Resort, one of the best all-around buildings is Martinique 25. It's close to everything and none of the rooms directly face the parking lot. It has it's own beach and hammocks too. Very short walks to: the Martinique Bus Stop, the Martinique quiet pool, Old Port Royale which includes the food court, sit down restaurant, main pool and pool bar, shops, and arcade. :)

At the Wilderness Lodge we loved our view of the inner courtyard. We were able to see the lake, pool, stream, etc. We've only stayed on the concierge (7th, top) floor, and we loved the view of the lobby from up here. Amazing! :)

At the Polynesian, after doing research on views of the lagoon and castle, I quickly realized that the best way to practically guarantee a perfect view was to book the concierge building with a lagoon view. So we did! And I still can't get over the view we had from our room and balcony. So, for the Polynesian resort, it'd be: Hawaii building, 3rd floor, lagoon view room. We were in room #3517 which is the second from last room on the left (lagoon view side) and it had the most perfect view imaginable!! Nothing like being able to lay in bed and watch the fireworks and castle change colors all night long :goodvibes

At the Grand Floridian we stayed in Boca Chica which was very convenient to the marina, main building, and pools, especially the quiet pool which is right out side the garden view rooms side of the building. We had a lagoon view room and when we looked to our left, could see the castle. This view doesn't even come close to the view we had at the Polynesian, but it was wonderful to be able to see the castle, the fireworks at night, and watch the castle change colors at night, from the balcony. :)

Click on the link below that takes you to my family vacations web site, and you can see the views of all of the above buildings and rooms I've mentioned! :3dglasses

I am a big fan of building 4 at the POFQ. It's nice to be right near the food court and bus stop. It's not too far from the pool or the boat dock.

I'm a cabanas girl! There's nothing better than falling out of your bed in the morning and into a hammock (PLEASE wait until at least 11:00 to start in on the margaritas, though).

I also loved our view of the World Showcase from the Beach Club Villas. It was amazing to go onto the balcony and see all the different architecture of the countries laid out in front of you.

But the Savanna view at the AKL has to be the most priceless view in WDW. How incredible to wake up to the sound of giraffes eating the bark off of trees outside your window!

For the Polynesian, I like Aotearoa! There are a few garden view rooms that somehow have a castle view, plus you can hear the luau from your balcony! And it's a short walk to the GCH, too!

I just stumbled upon my new favorite location at WL on my last trip (I usually don't make room requests, because the randomness always ends me up in somewhere new and neat that I wouldn't have seen otherwise!) I was on the first floor, which I thought I'd hate, but it was out on the back side of the building where the otter pool is. It was a quick walk up to Roaring Forks, and surprisingly nice not to need the elevators! My other fav. location would be 5th or 6th floor on the North side, since you can sometimes get a castle view.

Let's see...
Pop Century.... we loved our room on the 1st floor corner of the Country Building. Could walk one minute and be in the main building or at the 60's pool. No, not much of a view, but extremely convenient without the extra surcharge.

PO-R... Bayou building 14 waterview, 1st floor.... Magnolia Bend building Parterre Place, with a view of the courtyard and fountain.

Carribbean Beach... any building with a water view in Jamaica!

PO-FQ... 1st preference would be building 5 with a pool view, but close to the food court. We stayed in building 3, which was very convenient, but not much of a view.

Wilderness Lodge... main pool view, of course! Be specific when requesting, because we requested a pool view and got the quiet pool. Big disappointment!

Contemporary... Loved the South wing overlooking Bay Lake on the 3rd floor. We could watch the Electrical Water Pageant while lying in bed, and in the morning, the ducks always put on a show for us!

Polynesian... never stayed in a Lagoon view room, but would imagine it would be beautiful. That being said, we were extremely happy with our 3rd floor room in Raratonga overlooking the quiet pool. Beautiful view and very convenient to the Great Ceremonial House and monorail.

All Star Movies... we had no problems with our room in the 101 Dalmations building. We were obviously only there to sleep and shower, and our DD loved the Dalmation characters.

Next up.... Coronado Springs... hoping for the Cabanas ... booked waterview.

I am 55 year old and travel several times a year. I often stay at 4 star hotels.
So the deluxe resorts do not have anything special for me.
All Star is like being in the heart of Disney and that is where I want to be.

All Star Music is my faveroite. It Is quieter because more couples stay there.I love the Clypso builing it is closer to the pool, food court and bus stop.

Here is a site with a map of All Star Sports and All Star Music.
http://www.wdwinfo.com/resortmaps/allstarmap.htm
Scroll down. All Star Music is at the bottom of the page.
The Calypso buildings at All Star Music are #1 and #10 are nearest to the food court and bus stop.
They are the preferred buildings and cost about $12 extra per night.
The Calypso pool at ASMU has Donald Duck.

Here is the map of All Movies.
http://www.wdwinfo.com/resortmaps/allstarmovie.JPG
The Fantasia Buildings are the preferred buildings.
The All Star Movie Fantasia pool has Mickey.
The buses are wonderful.
Bus ride times according to PassPorter.com
All Star Movies has pop up fountains now also.
Bus rides are shorter from the ALL Stars than POP according to PassPorter.com

All Star Buses------------Pop buses
MK 20 min---------------MK 25 min
Epcot 10 min------------Epcot 20 min
MGM 10 min--------------MGM 15 min
AK 10 min----------------AK 15 min
DTD 15 min---------------DTD 20 min

The All Star resorts have 1960 rooms each.
Pop has 2,880rooms.
That means more people in the pools, food court and in line waiting for the bus at POP.
When phase 2 of POP is built it will be 2 bus stops at POP and the 2 POPs will have the same # of rooms as the 3 All Stars.

Also All Star is closer to the main road to get to parks and thats why bus rides are shorter from there than from POP.

A WORD ABOUT BUS SHARING:

It is usually just our stop and maybe one more on the way to the parks. On the way back sometimes its all 3 but often Sports and Music share and Movies has it's qwn bus back.

I guess some people who stay at POP see all 3 All Star names on the return sign of our bus stop when they head to the POP bus stop and think All Stars also has 3 stops on the way to the park.
(Even when we stop at another AS resort to load up it has not taken more than 5 minutes and we are on our way!)

I love the All Star Resorts --they can't be beat. I have visited WDW more than a dozen times with the 1st time in Oct. 1971. It was brand new. I've stayed at FW, Disney Inn, a few the of Hotels on hotel Blvd., CBR and the towers at the Contemporary. I got to see the MK from my balcony at the Contemporary and I'm happy I got to experience it once. I just prefer the All Star Resorts.
The theaming is pure Disney.
My last 4 visits have been at The All Stars and this fall when we take dd,dsil, and our grandson age 3 we are staying at the All Stars Music. I thought about AKL and even though we can well afford AKL I just wanted Alex to experience the Disney Magic :wizard: at the All Stars on his first visit.
Where else can one find Donald Duck or Mickey Mouse at the pool?
I can hardly wait.

Sorry. Double post. Bad computer :badpc: :badpc: :badpc: :badpc:

All sections at CSR are beautiful, however, we like the cabanas the best. We love the tropical feel the cabanas offer. :goodvibes

Room 5175 at YC. I have been lucky enough to get this room two years in a row although 5183 isn't bad either. 5175 has a better view of Illuminations along with a great view of the lake.
