Not good news for Boeing, the Dreamliner and passengers today.

Another fire on a Dreamliner and this time at London Heathrow, also news that a Thomson Dreamliner had to return to Manchester.

It's difficult to see from the TV pictures at Heathrow, but there seems to be fire damage at the rear of the Ethiopian Dreamliner on top just prior to the tail-fin, which is very close to where the 2nd battery is fitted which supplies power to the auxiliary power unit.

And that's the battery position which caught fire on the ground at Boston in January.

If this is in any way related to the original battery problem then looks like a re-design might be require and a long grounding, poor Boeing, poor passengers.

We very nearly booked the Man Dreamliner - SO glad we went for Virgin.

I'm really worried now that our plane will end up delayed - we are only there a week this time so losing a day would be a disaster
