Have you ever been in the position of buying a clothing gift for someone, at a resort gift shop, and then having the gift not fit the person?

I brought back a cute shirt for someone and it does not fit the child :sad1:

Do you think I could contact the resort gift shop and send it back for a refund on my cc? Is it possible that I could return it to a local Disney Store? Has anyone done this before?
 
I haven't done this before but I don't think you'd be able 2 bring it back 2 a local Disney Store, but I would guess that you'd be able 2 call up Disney and I think they'd understand and you could probably ship it back and get your money back. But that's just my opinion and I'm not 100% sure.
 
If you just want to do a straight return then your local Disney store is most likely your easiest option (as long as you still have a receipt). If you want to exchange the item, try calling Merchandise Mail Order (407) 363-6200 & they might be able to help you.
 

I had a friend bring my daughter a Tink picture frame that had a glass Tink attached and it broke on the way home - they contacted the gift shop and they exchanged it with no questions asked.
 
On the receipt there is a phone number for merchandise mail order and on the back is the information for returns and exchanges. Call the number and the CM will let you know what you need to do.

I don't know what you spent but If you are going for an exchange, you MAY find that shipping (return & new purchase) cost as much as the item. I screwed up one time and bought myself two, YOUTH sized sweatshirts that I might could have worn when I was 12, but not now!!!Shipping them back was $14.95 (and I had bought them on sale) so just just gave them to a fellow Disney lover who is smaller than my middle aged self!

it used to be that you could return WDW mds to the Disney store but they changed that policy awhile back. :( I'm pretty sure they have not changed it back to accepting WDW returns which is a bummer.
