We are huge Seuss and Curious George fans, that is really the only reason we are going to Universal, and we don't want to wait until our 2 YO daughter has outgrown that love. She has no idea who Shrek, Dora, Spongebob, Nickelodeon, etc are so we will not be doing any of those.

So what do we head for first?
Are the HP crowds going to make the rest of the park crazy busy?
Do the parks do child swap if we had time to get in a larger coaster for dad and I?

The park closes at 8 PM the day we are there and we will stick around for some of the concert and then a character dinner at the RPR..will we be able to fill the whole day with just Seuss and the CG playground?

Head to IOA and Suess Landing first. She will enjoy the island and the attractions for hours. If she likes to explore and climb, she might also enjoy Camp Jurassic.

Then move to the Studios first and let her run around in the Curious George area...if it's warm enough...Fievel's playground, E.T. and the Animal Actors show which is really cute. If you're going to hang around for the parade, she will love it! Make sure you catch lots of beads for her.

I don't think you'll be hard pressed to find stuff for her to do and there is child swap in case one of you want to ride a big ride.

:thumbsup2 (;))

Also, check for times, but if she likes the characters: we were able to meet Cat in the Hat, Things 1 and 2, Sam from Green Eggs and Ham and the Grinch in Seuss Landing. We also met Curious George and the Man with the Yellow Hat at Universal.

If we want to do one large coaster (child swap, probably Hulk) should we head to it first? Do the lines get long in Feb. for anything other than HP? Then Seuss Landing until she tires of it? We are planning on lunch at some point at Circus then heading over to Curious George. Do they post the character times on the website or we have to wait to see it on the map the day we go?

Relatedly, is there going to be a lot of crowd difference on a Saturday with the 1st Mardi Gras parade and concert vs. a Tuesday in the middle of Feb? Enough of a difference that we should choose one day over the other?

Keep in mind there are tons of things to do, some posters have already mentioned some. I will say I agree with you about Suess landing, that is a great section. But you may really enjoy Toon lagoon and Marvel Super Hero Island, there is Spider man and other marvel characters roaming around you and your child may enjoy to interact with. Then Universal has E.T. a great kids ride, that I enjoy as an adult as well. Shrek 4-D is a pretty neat show, I think someone already mentioned Camp Jurassic at JP, which is an awesome kids area, as well as the Pteradon Flyers, a ride that is designed for kids and is pretty cool.

Also, I would not totally give up on the new Harry Potter section, if the crowds are not too bad on your visit, it is an incredible looking section if nothing other than to experience the incredible theming of it, ( I mean who doesn't like castles, even if you're not a HP fan?) and they have a good kiddie coaster in that section as well.

Thanks Ides, that helps.

She is only 2y8m, and just hit 34" so there is not much she can do ride wise. (I am so hoping their measuring sticks are more on the short side than the high side or she won't even make the High in the Sky Ride. :( ) She has no idea who SpiderMan, SpongeBob, Shrek etc. are so we won't be seeking them or the rides. We really feel like we can spend almost all the time in SL.

Dont skip Spiderman the parents will love it. Also try to do Mummy at US, again parents will love it.

Which week in Feb.? I think Feb. is generally pretty quiet at the theme parks EXCEPT for President's week which is very busy. Pres. week is Feb. 19th-27th this year.
