I am seriously thinking about relocating to Australia, It's been about 14 years since I have been there and have a few questions.
I noticed that the unemployment rate is pretty low, its under 5%. My question is even with 5% unemployment what are the chances of landing a entry level job? Not really fussy about what the job is, I have quite a lot of management experience here in the US that I am sure given time I could put to use, I'm not afraid to start at the bottom and work my way up.
I am specifically looking for around Tasmania and Victoria. Also has anyone had any experience moving a partial household from the US to Australia? any advice or suggestions, obviously its probably more cost effective to sell the majority of household goods and repurchase down there, however there are just some things I cant and wont part with that would need moved.
Our children are 6 and 12, I don't believe they would have too much trouble adjusting to things. So is there any advice, suggestions or pointers that anyone would care to share?
