I have 3 things right off the top of my head.

The first was back in 2000 staying at the CSR. I went out to my car and found that someone had stolen my license plates and that every car in the parking lot was missing theirs as well. I talked to security and they said there was some college fraternity staying there and probably took them as a prank. Since Disney owns the resort they should have at least looked into some rooms if they suspected them in the first place. Needless to say I drove from Orlando to Southern Indiana with no license plate worrying everytime a saw a state trooper. Luckily never got pulled over but did have to fork over some cash for a new plate.

Second. Was in a park and while waiting in a crowded line 3 tween boys all had basketballs and just constantly bounced them and bounced them. It was iritating but I started to get mad when the balls starting hitting me. When one stuck my 3 yr old DD I finally grabbed the ball and told them it was mine now. Of course they complained that I stole their ball. I told them to feel happy to tell a CM about and that I would happily also tell the CM what they was doing and how they also cut under the ropes in front of about 20 people. The oldest kid wized up and told the others to leave it alone. Needless to say when we got ready to get on the ride I turned around and gave the kid his basketball back. I dont think he expected that.

Third. This actually wasnt at Disney but at another park in Southern Indiana. Was walking towards the waterpark. Me, DW, DD5 and DD9. I turned to DD9 and she had flavored ice shavings all over her hair and clothes. Im like what the heck? She said some boy walked by and threw it on her. I turned around and could already tell which one it was because he was at the top of a hill with a bunch of friends laughing and pointing at my daughter. Needless to say I lost it. I ran up the hill and confronted him about it. Of course he was scared crapless at this point. Some young lady who appeared to be his older sister walked up and asked what happened. I told her and she asked him about it and then admitted to what he did. At this point im ready to call park security to have him thrown out. It should be known that I am an aquaintance to the family that actually owns the park and speak with the CEO quite frequently. When I mention security the older sister tells him to apoligize. Which he does in a smirky manner. My DD9 is a blackbelt in 4 different styles of martial arts and my lack judgment had me telling her she had permission to take this kid out. Personally I felt humiliation being beat up by a girl smaller and 3 years younger would be suffice. Remember Im mad and lack judgement at this time and I know its bad to have your kids use there martial arts unless they absolutly have to. Anyway the sister asks my daughter if his apology was good enough for her and my DD9 smiled and said yes. I wish I could have taken it easy like she but I just cant stand for someone to disrespect my kids in a manner like that.

For what its worth Im an easy going guy who gets along with everyone and I dont condone violence.

I just posted this on another thread tonight but seems to fit here better...

I took my DD to DL when she was 4 or 5. We were waiting in the very slow moving line for Gadget's Go Coaster. There was a little boy in front of us, maybe a year or two older than my daughter and he kept making nasty faces at my DD and saying things like "what are you looking at?". This kid was a charmer. His parents were also paying zero attention to him.

My DD called it to my attention since he was doing it when he knew I wasn't looking. She is such a sweet kid and wants to be friends with everyone. She has a hard time understanding why people are intentionally mean. So I put my sunglasses on top of my head and stood there with my arms crossed and stared at him. He did it again, made an ugly face and said "what are you looking at?". Than he saw me staring at him and I said "cut it out" and glared at him. My DD looked up at me very grateful and said "thank you", I told her that is what I am here for baby. Everytime he looked over at us I was glaring at him and he would look away quickly. Parents were clueless, they weren't paying attention at all.

We saw the kid in the line of another ride later and he looked away fast when he saw me LOL.

And this thread will help me to better plan for my WDW vacation how??? :rolleyes1

Just wondering why so many of these type threads are being posted under "Trip Planning"... as opposed to the "Community" board.

Seconded. What's with all the negativity? :confused3

I'm just curious how a 9 year old girl gets 4 blackbelts? LOL.

I've been fighting and training a LONG time, and that is pretty quick.

Not a pet peeve thread but what has made you really mad?

Remember...YOU asked:
Inconsiderate parents with kids on thier shoulders, right in front of the castle, to watch fireworks.....
...... (that are 200 feet UP in the air :rotfl2: :rotfl2: )
..... obliveous to the people trying to see the castle "behind them" !!!! :headache: :headache:

Dont they know that the kids see "EVERYTHING BETTER" if they were further away?????????:rolleyes1 :rolleyes1

The mod's will move if it violates the category. If you don't like negativity.. I suggest you don't click on a thread with the title about, "What makes you mad." As hard as it is to believe, negative things do occur at Disney and these people are just trying to make others aware of it.

I agree things happen even when you are in the happiest place on earth. I think it is interesting to hear how people handle certain things...tips for the future I suppose. I think this is also a good outlet to vent if you need to...you are getting it off your chest with no harm to anyone.

It also helps me understand that while there are things that annoy me, things I am doing probably annoy other people. I know our last trip my DD8 got distracted by the Build a Bear shop, stopped walking and cut right across a few people. As much as I try to teach her to know better it happens and the people behind us commented "next time say excuse me". My DD didn't mean any harm but I understood the frustration of the people behind her and I was embarrassed. So annoyance is a two-way street.

i'm mad that ohanas did away with the shrimp potstickers.

pouty mad.

To the original OP, while I understand that even annoying things happen at Disney what is the benefit to all this negativity? I read your entire post and 2 out of the 3 things you listed weren't really Disney's fault. The more often you go you're gonna find yourself in line with people who annoy the heck out of ya and that is NOT Disney's fault. The last one wasn't even on Disney's property, so again I ask how does this help any of us plan our Disney vacations better?

This one DOES belong on the Theme Parks Community Board..

See ya there!
