Not a Negative Ques. about FP+!

I've been reading the Rider Swap thread, but it isn't exactly answering my question. In the "old days" of paper FP, you could give it away to someone else if you couldn't use it. Since my DD didn't like certain rides, but was too tall for rider swap, we used to pull FP for all four of us and DH and DS would go twice, say on TT. I'm not looking to cheat the system at all. I was just wondering if we could still all designate TT as one of our FP choices and have any family member use them. Would we exchange MBs or is it just not something we can do any more?

Thanks!
Jessica

First... on the WDW web site there is no height limit on rider swap at this time. If your DD doesn't want to ride and is not old enough to stay alone you are supposed to be able to get a rider swap pass. I've also heard some cast members will not allow this and will only give them out if the rider is under the height limit even though it makes it pretty clear on the web site that height is not a condition.

Second.. it specifically says on the WDW web site that magic bands are non transferrable. Meaning yore not supposed to trade them. However, people have been and no one has been saying anything.

And the moral of my post is Disney seems to be spotty on how they enforce their own rules. Sometimes going too far, sometimes not enforcing anything at all. So you just never know.

Thanks for the info! It's a thing where my DH and I take turns with my DS on Splash Mountain. I was just thinking that my DS could use DD as well as his own. I don't want to "beat" the system. Just curious!

We swapped a band female/male and no one cared. My BIL wanted to ride Everest with my daughter and I was supposed to see characters with his little ones so I just gave him my band so he could see characters with his kids.

This...my husband works at TSMM the other day he was telling me about a lady that had her kids sleeping in strollers and she didn't want to wake them up to get in a 70 min. line for TSMM. My husband told her that she could make the 70m. line get rider swap to ride later with the kids thru the fp line after they woke up, and that's what she did.
CM are told by their coordinators that the can bend the rules a little depending of the situation and it's totally at their (the CM working at that moment) discretion.
The moral of my story is to always ask the CM working at that moment before you think you can/can't do something

Yes and no.

This page doesn't indicate it's purely a matter of not fitting on the ride.

But if you go to a specific attraction, click on "Physical Considerations
Accessibility and Other Information" and hover over the i, it gives height info for RS. and most CMs seem to have been trained on the height requirement.

Yeah, we used to give away FP's when someone wasn't in the group, or changed their mind. It's a little bit of magic we were able to make for some lucky people in line. thing of the past.

We used to do that too. once or twice we got good passes before leaving and handed them to people , it was great being able to spread some pixie dust...

That being said, I wonder if I stand at the FP+ checkin thingie, If I can beep my magicband and just tell the CM that I'm letting so-and-so go in my place...
