Not a fan of the new castle lighting show.

I love the movie Frozen, but I really, really like Cinderella and the Fairy Godmother doing the castle lighting and I'm going to miss the "old way" when we go in December. I'm kind of sad, but I'm pretty sure I'm in the minority. Lol!

You aren't alone. We have never been for Christmas--going next year--and DD12 is so mad she has quit watching Frozen. Her opinion is that they can get their own darn castle instead of stealing Cinderella's. (Can you guess who her favorite Princess is?)

I like the movie too, but I was not happy when I found out about the change in the ceremony. Everything is so saturated with Frozen, I am starting to sour on it.

this will be our third Christmas, so I'm glad there is a new show...doesn't matter if it is Frozen, Tangled, even Big Hero 6...just sometimes the same exact thing for every show in the park gets dull. It is important to keep the classic elements in the park, but if they never changed shows like this, we would still be getting the 1972 version, no Tink flying overhead, they would still be releasing doves at noon (only to be hunted mid release by the hawks that live nearby that figured out the timing).

I am sure that in a year or two, they will have something else...in truth, I'm still a little more upset that Mickey's house is gone...more so than Cindy not always being the center of attention...afterall, it may be HER castle, but it is HIS park...I think she just leases the castle from him. :)

I haven't seen Frozen, yet. Honestly, I probably won't, as movies just aren't my thing. We haven't been to WDW for Christmas in probably 10 years (too crowded!), but since we have annual passes, we're going, this year. I don't care for all the Frozen stuff, as it is meaningless to my family. The fact that nearly every park is being taken over by Frozen is very unappealing to me. Cinderella will be missed.

Hopefully all the Frozen fans will be watching the stuff that means nothing to me, making lines shorter for the attractions that do mean something to me.

I'd advise both of you to just ... wait for it...

"Let it Go."

Oh, I don't care one way or another--I will be at Disney at Christmastime and celebrating my birthday with my family and my 2 BFFs. All I really care about is seeing snow on Main Street and meeting Scrooge McDuck! It is DD12 that has issues about all the Frozen stuff--but she is 12. There could be worse drama in her life :)
