We were at Epcot yesterday. DS8 saw Elton (dream team) at the exit of The Land and just wanted to say hello. (Elton had taken my son on a VIP tour of Test Track a few months back and it really made an impact on him. We had purchased an extra 8 X 10 of DS8 and Elton riding TT and had dropped it off at member services for Elton as a thank you.) DS8 just wanted to see if he got the picture. I was amazed. Not only did Elton remember DS8, but he remembered his name.:thumbsup2 Elton and several dream team members were together and he told us to hold on. Out come the white vests and they go into dream mode. Elton looks at us and asks "Why didn't you get on the boat"? No dreams for us, but that wasn't why DS8 wanted to talk to him anyway. No big deal. When they were finished giving out dreams (extra hour in the park), we chatted with him a few minutes and he takes us all on Soarin twice. I know this wasn't a dream, but my son now thinks this man is the greatest person on earth. After we came off of the ride the second time, a CM named Sara stopped us and asked if we liked the ride. She then asked if she could take us on again. How cool is this? I wonder if these CM's realize how such a small gesture can make a child feel like a million bucks?

How did ya'll not get extra hour bands when elton gave out dreams??? Neat story.

How neat is that?!?! I'm sure that the cast members "get it"....they have to, right?:yay: I'm sure that they feel great being able to make people's day too. :cool1:

We didn't ride the ride. DS8 just wanted to say hi. The extra hour dreams weren't a necessity. We did every ride in the park in under 6 hours. TT twice, and thanks to Elton and Sara we rode Soarin 3 times. What I thought was cool was listening to the dream call he received telling him where to be next and at what time. He's a great guy. Disney is sending him to Paris to train their dream team and to do some commercial work. He told us he has his own dream book with over 7,000 thank you letters and pictures. What a way to spend a day. What a fantastic job.
