Not 1 but 2 POR questions...the nerve!

13 more days to go and the panic is starting to set in. I'm not prepared! I don't know how to think for myself! I read this board almost everyday and have retained nothing. I'll be arriving at POR 4/7..will the boat to DD be running then? Even if the infamous Bob is not playing, will there still be some other type of live music? Magnolia Terrace of Alligator Bayou? Which room number? Oops, I believe that was 4 questions. Forgive me! I should be at work, but I just wanna stay on these boards all day and dream about WDW.

Take a deep breath. You are going to love this resort. I prefer the mansions of Magnolia Bend. Oak Manor & Parterre Place are the closest to the main building and tend to be a little quieter. Others prefer the rustic country feeling of Alligator bayou. Many because of the trundle bed and some of the bldgs are close to the food court. You might want to fax your request to the front desk about 2days before your arrival. Invest in the refillable cups, they are worth every cent. THe boats and entertainment are still missing, I am sorry to say.

We love Magnolia Terrace. This mansion has the gazebo out front. Picture the Letter "H". This is how the building is. The tips of the top of the "H" are near the parking lot. We reguested inner courtyard(standard view) and had a beautiful view! Right in the middle of the "H" top floor. VERY quiet. Building convienent to everything IMHO ! We LOVE this resort. Any room here should be wonderful. ENJOY!

We stayed inside court of the Magnolia Terrace building. It is closest to everything. Beautiful resort.

We have always stayed in the Bayous. On our last visit we spent one night touring the entire resort. Now I am dying to try the mansions. You cannot go wrong with either one. Have a great trip.

Can someone tell me which are the non smoking roomsbuildings in AB in POR? I'm especailly interested in buildings 14 and 18 or 27. Thanks so much.

You can double check by calling the resort, but the last I heard Bldg. 18 & 38 were smoking Bldgs. ~~

I am going to the POR in July, and I am as excited as you are. Because of these message boards I called and requested one of the mansions. I hope I get it! I heard this hotel is really really big so I hope it isn't to big that the kids get tired walking to the food court or the pool.
Please let me know about your stay when you return!

We have stayed ay POR 5 times. We love the Mansions but prefer the bayou's. I love the theming and beauty of the resort. I feel like a true "Southern Belle" here. I also love the quiet pools when the main one is crowded.

Building 37 was non-smoking when I was there last May. I loved the resort...so much that I think I've finally planned my next trip. I have two reservations...one for 12/4/02 and one for 12/11/02 until I talk to the rest of my family on Monday. Then it's decided!

we just returned last sunday .......no sign of Boats or Bob being back anytime soon I was told.....and no one else is there singing either they need something in the lounge.....very quiet and boring now...we used to love to go grab a gator tail and some nachos and let our 4 year old dance around or snooze on the leather couches...bummer

Hi...we were ther Feb 3-13th. Stayed at AB bldg 15 room 1540.
It was second floor, corner room. Very quiet and close to main bus stop and food court etc. Non smoking as well. Have a great trip!
