Nory Report III: In the Third Person! After 3 Years, the Final Update! NEW 2/6

I'm in!! And I love it!! ...especially the way you described the bathroom stalls :rotfl: Midway airport in Chicago has my favorite bathroom stalls for that exact reason!!

I want to read! Nory you arrived the day after we left. My post Disney depression was just beginning as you were entering the height of Disney euphoria. :rotfl: Can't wait to hear about your trip.

Has your daughter read the Theodisia books? I just read the first one and LOVED IT!

She has not (I had not heard of them!) but I just put a hold on the first two at the library :) Thanks for the recommendation!

Hi Nory! Am loving your photos and third person style of writing! :thumbsup2

Yay on flying from JFK and getting to write the comparison in airports! Am looking forward to hearing more about the 'truly perfect trip' :)

Hi Nory!

Having read these sorts of things for a VERY long time, I LOVE it when I come across a TR that offers something new and different. I can't wait to read along. (Although with my current TR trending, you may be done by the time I get back.)

Really looking forward to this one.

I LOVE this style!! Thanks for offering something out of the ordinary!

One of the reasons I am so excited about this is that coincidentally, I am just finishing up writing my next installment, and it also is 3rd person!! How cool!! Great minds, and all that...

Awesome start, Nory!!!

Just read all of your previous TRs last night and this morning and oh so looking forward to reading this one!

& I just want to say that your wedding gown was absolutely gorgeous! I hope you and DH have an incredible life together and that you succeed in eventually getting him to WDW; he can't resist for too long can he? :wizard:

Hi GB! I thought people might appreciate something a little bit different! And I promise to keep that TOC up to date, so you can read it in your own sweet time...:rotfl:

I'm joining in too, please. popcorn::
Hi, Kat! I'm so happy to see you here! (And I can promise your CSR hammock plays an important role.)

Great minds, indeed! Now I can't wait to read yours (silly work, has kept me from DISing all day long...)!

Aw, thanks, PrincessEeyore! I have never loved an item of clothing as much as I loved that dress. Now someone I know just has to win a Nobel prize, or an Oscar, or something, so I have the excuse to wear it again!

OMG! so excited, I can't even stand it!

LOVE reading this in third person.

After your first update, she felt like she'd seen a glimpse of a strange, yet enticing cross between The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe ...and Angels and Demons. :rotfl2: ...and the verdict? She likes! Errr, I mean I like it. See, contagious (in a great way) :goodvibes

Well, that certainly sounds interesting. :flower3:

I've seen you on so many TR's and your way of telling your TR just interested me a lot.

Nory considered herself something of a Disney World expert. She'd been many times throughout her life, and spent far too much of her free time on Disney message boards, soaking up any bit of World-related trivia she could find. So she was mortified, on her last two trips, when she went to the wrong side of the airport in search of Magical Express, Disney's airport shuttle. Mortified. There was simply no excuse for such a blatant error. And it happened not once, but twice! In a row!

Determined to get it right this time, she reminded herself Side B Side B Side B Side B as she deplaned and got into a long-ish line at Starbucks. Her first line of the trip, but it really couldn't be helped: She felt great after her nap, but her caffeine addiction couldn't be ignored, not even for Disney-related circumstances.

Side B Side B Side B Side B she repeated as she boarded the airport monorail, Skinny Vanilla Latte in hand.

Side B Side B Side B Side B she thought, riding down the escalator on what she hoped, prayed, was the correct side of the main building.

She reached the bottom of the escalator, and there it was: a sign for Disney's Magical Express. Hooray! She had finally gotten it right! Feeling victorious, she set off at a brisk clip, rolling her suitcase behind her, for the shuttle check-in at the far end of the building. Finally she reached two Disney Cast Members (CMs) standing at podiums in front of the red velvet ropes of a queuing area. She handed the Magical Express booklet she'd received a few weeks earlier in the mail to the older gentleman on her left.

"How are you?" Nory asked, ready to have her first real Disney conversation of the trip.

"Well, now, I was doing good, 'til I saw your coffee there. Now I'm jealous," he replied with a smile.

"Sorry, sir, I would've brought you one, if I'd've known!"

The man chuckled. "Thanks for that, I feel much better now! You go straight down that line there, and have a magical day!"

Nory sped down the designated line for guests traveling to Port Orleans Riverside, one of Disney's moderately-priced resorts. And here she encountered a first: There was no one in the line.

Granted, it was relatively early in the morning, only around 10:00 AM or so. But an empty queue was still surprising, and Nory loved it. She'd realized on her last two trips that standing solitary in the Magical Express line -- for some inexplicable reason -- was one of the only moments when she'd felt strange for being alone. She couldn't understand why. Sure, she was surrounded by families excited for their vacations, but she was surrounded by families at the parks, too, and it never bothered her. Somehow, she felt like she got more funny looks for it in the Magical Express line. Though perhaps it was all in her imagination.

Whatever it was, she didn't have to worry about it now. Within seconds, another CM approached her, verified that she was heading for Riverside, and told her to head out to a bus. The bus was nearly as empty as the line had been, with only four or five other groups scattered among the seats. It was slated to make two stops: one at Riverside, one at another resort that Nory, shockingly, had never heard of (she still doesn't quite understand how that was possible). She settled back in her seat, looked up at the small TV screen, and waited for her official video welcome from Mickey and the Gang.

NEXT CHAPTER: A Few Unavoidable Stops

What a lovely update. Yay on being successful in your quest of finding the ME line! Was rooting for you whilst reading - am guessing having the coffee helped!

Am intrigued by the resort Nory had not heard of :)

Yeah, I still have absolutely no idea what that hotel could have been. I mean, it didn't ring even the slightest bell (and of course I forgot it immediately, since it was essentially a meaningless string of words!). The only thing I can think of is that maybe it was a hotel in Downtown Disney?

Or maybe my travel-addled brain completely misinterpreted something I actually did know?

Or maybe the bus driver had some sort of bizarre accent?

I dunno. It will forever be a mystery, I guess!

Wonderful update.

And :woohoo::woohoo::woohoo: for giong the right way to the ME this time. I wouldn't have a clue as to where it is because we never use it. :rotfl2:

And my kind of gal....gotta have that Starbucks no matter what! I lost track how many times my good friend Nicki and I stopped when I was in Florida the first week of April. ;)
