Northern Sights & Mickey's MAGICal Delights - 1st Baltic cruise - June 12,2010

Good morning everyone!

Less than 2 weeks before I head out (vacation starts the 24th) - so get those ?s ready! Post them here &/or send me a pm & I'll jot them down & post answers when I get back.

We're staying at the Marriott Heathrow the 1st night (we get in at 10pm), then next 2 nights are at the Maison Dieu in Dover.

The stuff that's planned - Dover - visit to the castle; in CPH we're doing a hop on/hop off bus & Tivoli. Berlin & St Petersburg are tours w/ other cruisers w/ spt tours.

Other cities are go as we please - I do want to see the Rock Church in Helsinki (http://www.sacred-destinations.com/finland/helsinki-rock-church-temppeliaukio.htm), am thinking of the Ice Bar in Stockholm (http://www.nordicseahotel.se/en/The-hotel/Food-and-drink/Absolut-Icebar-Stockholm/), and just walking around in Tallin.

I can't believe I sail 2 weeks from tomorrow!!!

No London this time (makes me sad) - figured I'd do Dover as I've never been there (been to London 5 or 6 times).

Emily - we ended up doign something a bit different (there are 6 of us doing this). We're doing a normal tour of Berlin in the am then heading over to the Sachsenhausen concentration camp.

Will of course give a report when I get back

You are sweet for thinking so. Sometimes I wish that I could hurry and heal from the pain I feel. Sometimes I hope I never do, it would be like letting go of him. Sometimes I feel like I am in a nightmare and can't wake up. Sometimes I think losing him was like waking up from a wonderful dream (our life together) to a stark and harsh reality of life. I always think I am cracking up. LOL.

It is so hard to believe that so many people have lived through this and much worse. I plan trips to have something to look forward to. It lifts my spirits. Maybe the seas have a healing effect. I don't know. Thanks for listening.

Hi Kim,

Glad to have you join us all on this cruise. We sailed with you back in 2007 on the 1st Med Cruise. We shared the private excursion to Florence and Pisa together. It is great to have familiar faces on the cruise again. Hope all is going well and look foward to seeing and talking to you again.
