Good Evening Cruisers!

Lynn - How's the job going? How far from Evergreen Co are you?

Scott answered the question about Evergreen,CO, job is going OK, I now have almost everyone trained, just have to finish up one who was sick and missed a day of class. I still do not seem to be able to get anything of my own done with working 40 hours a week - don't know how I did it before! I seem to only make it here a couple days a week now, and my exercise regime is non-existant! Today, the wind calmed down to 20mph from 40mph - so I took the dogs out for a walk, I barely got out the door when I got a phone call from someone with a problem - so my 3 mile walk turned into a 1.25 mile walk!

In early December my wife and I made reservations for this cruise. We have really been looking forward to it, but ended up having to change our reservation. It turns out that we had to add another person to our reservation as we are going to have a baby in November.

Congrats on the new addition to your family!

Have a great evening everyone!

sbel111 PM me your email and I will forward a cut and paste word doc. that I have been keeping since the 1st of the year with various posts.
Great. Thanks. ummm, Great thanks!

My wife and I went to undergrad at MTSU. We love Mboro. BTW, do you know if Toots got damaged by the storms last week?

I haven't driven by there lately so I am not sure about any damage to Toots. I know that the shopping center behind it was torn up pretty good.

I teach at MTSU and started here in 2006. I teaching accounting. Small World!!

A thousand years ago when Cathy and I were going to MTSU, we took some classes together. One of them was accounting. We would often study together to prepare for tests. Of course, this meant that I would fall asleep and she would stay up all night studying. Before the test, I would always ask her the same question: "Which is a debit and which is a credit." She would take a few seconds to let me know and then we'd take the test. I always did better than her. She would get pretty mad about it.

Years later, after earning my MBA, I served as a PT associate professor at VolState, teaching entry level business classes. I hated it and was horrible at it.

LOL. Well I love it! That is a pretty funny story.

Good Evening Cruisers!

Weather here a little better, at least a little warmer and mostly sunny today, wind still blowing at 20+mph, but the dogs and I did get a 3 mile walk in today!

Have a great evening everyone!

This week I reserved two rooms at the Hotel Continental Barcelona for two nights prior to the Med. And I have chosen hotels for London and Paris. Can't make the reservations yet though. So the planning has begun!

Hi Monica! You should be excited since you leave in a couple of weeks. When are you back in Orlando?

We are doing okay. I think that my son is still struggling alot. But he is better. My daughter is in a constant state of denial.

Well, in London, I am thinking of reserving the Premier inn in County Hall. Close to the center of things and fairly inexpensive as far a London goes. I am hoping to talk my brother into going with us, so that means two hotel rooms everywhere which ups the ante a bit. It is a basic hotel kind of like a travel lodge.

My idea is to spend two nights precruise in Barcelona, two nights in London post cruise and then Eurostar to Paris for three nights and then home. The Paris is for my daughter who is dying to go there. I really could skip it to tell the truth but since I am there, I will just bite the bullet and do it.

I found a hotel called the Hotel Duquense in Paris that is close to the eiffel tower that is 183 euros per room per night. :scared1: But the hotels in Paris are so EXPENSIVE....I would like a reasonable hotel that is close to the eurostar and the metro and RER(whatever that is?). If you can suggest any, I would be happy to hear it.

Premier Inn's tend to be quite smart basic hotels in my experience. Travelodge here over the last few years have become VERY basic lol. The newer ones are ok but some of the older ones ....

I think my inlaws have stayed there a few times not least because of its great location :-)

I drove by Toots yesterday and it was open for business. There were some men on top of the roof so i guess there was some damage but not too great.

Basic is okay, as long as it is clean, and safe?, I am okay.

Has anyone here heard of Harry Norman? I found his name on cruise critic and I am looking for transportation from Dover to London after the Baltic. He can do private tours and pick you up at Dover and drop off at your hotel in london. I am a little scared of trying to schlep my luggage with two kids on the train to London. I think the price is about 250 pounds per car, which with a tour included, I think is doable.
